Our main focus is, was, and always will be: service. That's why we are a favorite of do-it-yourselfers. Our product knowledge and willingness to take the time to show our customers how best to use our products makes all the difference. It's true that we are popular with a lot of contractors, but you get the same quality service even if you just need a light bulb!

GRO creates and maintains celebrated and award-winning landscapes for both residential and commercial clients. We thrive on innovation and collaboration, and our measure of success is determined by the accolades we receive from satisfied customers, not just in the awards we win.

"I had GRO perform three large projects on my 5 landscaped acres around my house in Oregon City. They started out well, and completed two of them without much in the way of complaints, but the third project they fumbled pretty badly at the end. I had them prep and install irrigation, lawn and planting beds to a little over an acre of land in my south lawn area. They hurried to apply the hydroseed in mid- to late-September 2022 to give the lawn time to establish before the Oregon rains arrived in late October, but did not have time to pre-water the dirt and then spray the weeds that would come up, a standard practice before hydroseeding. I questioned the job foreman about this, and was assured that they would return in the spring of 2023 to spray and kill the weeds that were not killed in the previous fall. Spring came, along with plenty of weeds, but GRO refused to honor their commitment. They also failed to install 3 or 4 sprinkler heads around the lawn east end, so now I have dead grass there, and they now also refuse to fix this problem."

OC Bohemia Construction - is Family owned and operated company providing professional and finest quality master craftsmanship for fair priced building. With more than 16 years of experience in Custom Homes remodels, we take pride in our quality workmanship and custom design. We build this Company on reputation of quality craftsmanship and professional service. Additional contact name: Eva Kokotek.

"DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN! He is a con artist who managed to swindle me out of $2,000 for a job that was worth $1,000 at best. This man cannot be trusted to be fair in his pricing or to represent the truth when he is explaining the costs to you. I am a female senior citizen who hired Mr. Kokotek to repair a broken sprinkler system. It was an emergency repair; I asked Mr. Kokotek three times while he was performing the work to give me an estimate of what the work would cost. He did not give me an answer. He arrived at 10 AM and finished at 5 PM -- 7 hours -- and spent a considerable amount of time on his cell phone during the repair process, taking care of other unrelated business. He also had to make a parts run which took more than an hour and is included in the 7 hours I paid him for. He lied to me about the cost of parts, telling me the valves he had to replace cost $165 each. When I looked up the cost online after he left, the most expensive one I could find cost $25. The parts were not extremely expensive. When the project was completed, he scribbled a few numbers on a piece of paper, did not itemize the parts costs or the labor, and told me I owed him in excess of $2,000. By this time of day, I was exhausted and did not have the energy to argue with him over the cost, so I paid him and he left. The next day I discovered that one of the valve boxes was full of water and had to call and ask him to return. He returned a week later, finished the work and presented me with a second invoice for an additional $300 which I refused to pay. After three requests, he gave me an invoice for the $2,000 charged originally but lumped the parts costs and the labor costs together so you could not tell how much was for parts and how much was for labor -- a convenient way of burying his exorbitant labor costs. After looking at the parts prices online, I am sure he did not spend more than $500 on parts. If I paid him $500 for labor, he would be making $71 an hour for 7 hours. That brings the total to $1,000, which would be a generous payment, far from the $2,000 he charged me. As it stands and assuming $500 for parts, I paid him $1,500 for labor which equals $214/hr! In reading the previous reviews for this business, there is a clear pattern of over charging senior citizens as well as the general public. BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS AND THE OWNER! DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!"

"The first time they put in the wrong size of rocks then had to come and redo it. This business is dishonest! When they came back and were replacing some large rocks to fill with smaller rocks in front of my building and they were careless and dented and scratched my car. I was able to get their insurance info and now they are denying damaging my car and refusing to take accountability. This company is dishonest and not careful around others personal property."

24 hour emergency service on all residential, commercial and agricultural pump systems! Do you have a well? Drop off a water sample for a free mineral and hardness test as well as a free quote on a water treatment system.

"Came out to do warranty work on a pump head they'd recently replaced, were timely and did the work in the agreed upon time. However afterwards they started showing up demanding payment. It was confirmed warranty work ahead of time and at time of service, I was so confused. Calls to the office were denied or flatly answered 'pay your bill you cheap ***' Time went on and it went to collections, I showed up in small claims court with my stack of evidence, they didn't show up. Another two years go by. 'When are you going to pay your bill' What? This is crazy - all for some warranty work. Call any other well or pipe person in the area - there are some great ones that will stand by their work and won't jerk you around or change their mind after the work is done. HPS does not deserve any of your money - call *anyone* else"

Lawn Irrigation questions, answered by experts

Enhanced root development, better fertilizer uptake, and improved drought resistance.

If your lawn has some lumps and bumps, yes, aeration can help—although it may also be beneficial to take on other steps, like irrigation, fertilization, and dethatching (also known as scarifying). You can also use a power rake to physically break up the bumps in your lawn, which can help you achieve a more even look.

Reseeding your lawn can help eliminate thin or patchy portions of grass. If you’re paying a professional to aerate your lawn, it’ll cost you an additional $50 to $80 on average to reseed it  in the same trip. Reseeding a lawn yourself can cost between $500 to $1,000, meaning you’ll probably save time and money hiring a professional service.

When your sod is new, you should keep an eye on it to prevent dehydration. As new sod plants its roots into the soil beneath it, it can easily get dehydrated and start to turn brown. Keeping a consistent watering schedule for your new sod will help prevent this issue and will help it thrive as it roots into your yard.

Once your sod is about six weeks old, you can start to establish a regular lawn maintenance routine, complete with mowing, edging, and fertilizing.

If it’s been a few weeks and you haven’t seen anything pop up, double-check your seed packet and make sure you didn’t miss any steps. Did they need cold stratification (putting seeds in the freezer and then transferring to water before planting)? Do they have an exceptionally long germination period?

If you’ve followed all of the directions closely, you may just have had a bad batch of seeds. (Sadly, it happens.)
