About us
Great Yards Landscape Maintenance was started after finding out there was a niche for superior landscape services and superior customer service. Gilbert, has made GYLM a well known company in the Willamette Valley with over a decade of experience. GYLM was started in July 2007 by Gilbert Victoria with the help of his father, Marcelino Victoria. Gilbert was born in California but has lived his whole life in Salem, Oregon. He resides with his wife and their two kids. They love to camp and spend their weekends out on the soccer fields watching both of their kids games. GYLM has been a great support to soccer clubs and also to the school system. As a business that was started within the family and is now a fast growing business with multiple crews, we need to come together to help each other out and help out the community. That is what makes this life a better place.

Actually, in our SECOND house, we had no lawn, but they did a Wonderful Job with the lawn on our first house for a decade! Gilbert and crew, like clockwork, appeared in our yard, every week, no matter what, and cared for our landscaping needs brilliantly.

The team did an amazing job cleaning up my yard and property. Due to the amount of work, it took most of the day to complete but my property has never looked so good, not even when we bought it. I plan on hiring them to continue the maintenance on the landscaping so it doesn't get that bad again.

Gilbert and his crew from Great Yards did a wonderful job for me. I have 7 large maple trees in my yard and they took care of all the leaves and branches on lawn. The also put down sod in the back yard and did a wonderful job. The gentlemen who were working here were very hard working and polite. I would definitely recommend this company, they are very professional and reasonably priced.

Gilbert communicated promptlly and regularly with me. His team were very hard working, friendly and cheerful. They cleaned up our yard, re-edged borders, put down bark, and took out some very overgrown trees. If there was a question about just how I wanted things done, they came to me beforehand to be clear. We were very happy with the results; the yard looks great.

I am very happy with Great Yards. I am disabled now and can't do the work myself anymore. I own a duplex with a large courtyard that is bordered by a city owned bramble patch. I had let it go about 18 months except for the very basics. I took 7 or 8 bids. Great yards came in as the lowest that was bonded and insured. Other bids said it would take 2 days with a three man crew. Gilbert said his team could do it in one day and they did. His bid also came in a little lower then what he had quoted. I will only use them from now on.
