Very good job and price. I would like to particularly thank Josh White who did an excellent job and went out of his way to fund $195 for a service that I later decided was not necessary (which I had already paid for but had not received). Thanks a lot Josh!!!!

I spoke to Dave, the owner, and he seemed genuinely apologetic. He sent out another employee, Justin, to fix the pipe that had been damaged and issued a partial refund for the services mentioned below. Justin was very thorough and spent a considerable amount of time fixing and testing the new pipe and connections he installed. With all the new fittings, including rubber couplings, I am not sure it is as strong as the original pipe, but both Dave and Justin seemed to do their best to resolve a bad situation.

Josh was a bit late because of a mechanical problem with the truck. Once that was fixed he arrived promptly after his phone call. He pumped the tank and then we treated the drain field while rooting out all the growth within the drain pipes.

I had my sewer pump alarm going off frequently. I called another company who diagnosed the problem for $250 but then told me that my pump had too much grease around the floaters and they don't offer the sewer cleaning service and I should Google to find a company that performs the service. I found and called West Side drain who came within couple of hours, cleaned and vacuumed the sewer pump very efficiently, added enzyme and gave advise on keeping the sewer pump clean. Josh was extremely helpful, courteous, and efficient. Will hire them for any plumbing needs.

The good parts: I was recommended their services by a plumber. I called at around 9 AM and they sent someone out to be here before 11. They were on-time and very punctual. Gabe, who came out, was good at what he does. The blockage was removed partially, and some foaming root treatment chemical was applied to take care of the roots. The not so good: We found that Gabe would have to pump out the water in the pipes before he can look at where the clog is. The charge for pumping the water out using a vacuum and buckets, in our basement, was $150 an hour. I called the boss to find out if we could do a lower rate for this, since I've never had a plumber or anyone charge this high. The answer was to take it at the price or they will go elsewhere to fix someone else's problem. I found that very unnecessarily unprofessional. The charge for jetting was $295 an hour, and even if they don't jet for an hour, you have to pay $295. I knew they charge $295 before they came on site, so I was prepared for it, but this doesn't include the cost of *anything else* apparently. Knowing that, I'd expect that price to be pro-rated, which it isn't. Since the blockage was close to the house, Gabe couldn't jet it freely, for fear of flooding the basement. I figure we must have used the jet for a total of 15-20 mins on and off. He ended up using a root removal chemical, and the charge for that was steep as well. The pricing isn't fair.

The good: Called and was able to get someone out the same day. Then was able to come out early. Pipe locating was accurate. Tech was friendly. The bad: First off, The person I spoke with when I called was up-front about the hourly cost, so while it was very high, I knew it and made the regrettable decision to get the work done anyway. This review is not about that. What I did not expect was to be charged for the full hour for both the water jet & pipe locating. The tech spent about as much time actually using the locator as he did getting the locator out of the van and set up, ~10 min tops overall. When that was done he went back to jetting, meanwhile I'm getting charged for both services for the 1 hour minimum, which I also wasn't made aware of until too late. This is taking advantage in my opinion. He finished with 10 min to spare, so he jetted one of the pipes again until he answered a phone call from his boss while still on my dime. If I'm paying $8 every minute, he should put the phone down and ignore it, boss or not. When all was done there was still 5 min ($40) to spare by my watch, so apparently time starts when their wheels hit the driveway. The job quality was decent. However, there was still visible thick mud in one of the lines where it came out of the ground. Was told that it was due to the pipe sitting in muddy water before I had removed the water, but it just wasn't cleaned thoroughly. Was also given an approximate on-site quote to run a new drain line, which was astronomical.

Josh (the tech) was very professional and answered every question I asked and more. I gave A's for all categories except Price. I don't know if $1,495 was a reasonable price as I did not have time to research other providers.

I needed to find a someone to do a septic inspection for a house I was buying. Several others were booked a few weeks out. Westside was able to get out within a couple of days. I was a bit skeptical that they were available so soon. They provided the most professional and complete inspection I could have asked for. Everything was very clear on the state of the system and he even gave me some tips on how to keep it maintained. He was very friendly and helpful.

They were great. Victor answered many questions for me beforehand. When I was ready to schedule, he came out the next day. They pumped the septic tank ($450), inspected the tank ($100), scoped the sewer line ($175), provided a DVD, and filled out the DEQ inspection form as requested by the buyer. Arthur was great, too. They were both knowledgeable, friendly, came on time, all you could ask for. Victor even personally delivered the DVD to the buyer.
