Came out to do warranty work on a pump head they'd recently replaced, were timely and did the work in the agreed upon time. However afterwards they started showing up demanding payment. It was confirmed warranty work ahead of time and at time of service, I was so confused. Calls to the office were denied or flatly answered 'pay your bill you cheap ***' Time went on and it went to collections, I showed up in small claims court with my stack of evidence, they didn't show up. Another two years go by. 'When are you going to pay your bill' What? This is crazy - all for some warranty work. Call any other well or pipe person in the area - there are some great ones that will stand by their work and won't jerk you around or change their mind after the work is done. HPS does not deserve any of your money - call *anyone* else

The work was fine. They did a good job. I was planning to give them an A. However, I told them I was planning to return the pump they replaced because it was still under warranty, and long story short, they took the pump and won't bring it back.

I'm so grateful to Nick and his team for taking care of me during a very stressful time. I called my insurance, water restoration, contractors, etc. and after several days of dead ends, HPS sent Nick out and he let me borrow a temporary pump to keep the water from flooding my home and got the job schedule for a permanent pump right away. They installed the pump for less then quoted and did everything promised. Thank you, Nick. I'm sure you deal with stressed out homeowners on a daily basis, so I really appreciate your attentive service.

Great! I was taking a shower and the water stopped. It was during all that very cold weather. My husband had just left for the weekend and I was very worried it was going to be something much worse than it was. My husband kindly turned around and came home and removed the housing around the pump (which had rotted away right about where the problem was) and defrosted the frozen pipes that we could see with his propane heater. Knowing that many people were probably experiencing similar problems, we assumed nobody would be able to come out to our house that day, nor would it be reasonably priced. Well HPS said they could be there by 8 or 9pm. They arrived around 6pm. It was dark. They worked quickly, were polite, and put things back together as best as possible & told me to go get electrical tape the next day. Best of all, it didn't cost a fortune!

Nick had the problem diagnosed within 15 minutes: a broken gasket in a barn hydrant. I learned a few tricks from Nick, and also learned that my barn water is split off from the house piping, which meant it was pressurized by our jet pump. I didn't know this for 4.5 years, but I do now! Nick replaced the hydrant. The problem is resolved. Nick has done work on my property 3 times and knows my water system and he is a smart and thorough guy.

Our water stopped running on a Sunday Afternoon. We have a well so we started flipping breakers, but it did not come back on. We tried to reach someone who would come out. We live in Vancouver and Hillsboro Pump were the only people who could come out that day. Before coming out, Jake was very clear (in a polite way) that a higher rate would apply than if we waited another day. We had family arriving in 2 days for our daughter's wedding so we wanted it fixed right away. Jake was out within 2 hours (after finishing another job). He diagnosed the problem and fixed it and also identified some issues with our water heater that were not in the scope that they work. Overall we were very impressed and appreciative of the service we received.

After MT Dunn Plumbing fixed my broken pipe (see review), Gerry & Jake from the Cornelius branch of Hillsboro Pump Service came to get my well operational. The pipes had frozen at the well house so they first thawed them, then they checked the pump itself and got it running again. They were both marvelous and had the job done in record time.
I've used this company--the Cornelius branch--before with great results.

I have used HPS over the past 4 years for all of my water needs, and they have never let me down. From a pressure tank replacement, to a 500 gallon tank replacement, to answering my questions over the phone or at their store, they have always been friendly and responsive.
The latest service was a UV system install in my pump house, and cleaning out my 1000 gallon water tank. HPS showed up on time, performed great work, always leave a clean area (water can be very messy, especially when combined with dirt), and answered all of my questions. I never hesitate to call them and ask questions for water and pipe related work that I want to do myself, and they don't mind giving free advice.
I recommend HPS to anyone who has spring or well issues, need a water tank installed, or require ditches and pipes.

I called HPS on a Monday and informed them that I needed a septic pump repaired. Abby told me that they would have someone call who handles that.
It took a couple of days for them to respond to me, but after a called a 2nd time to ask for help, eventually Dave called me on Wednesday, and said he was sending Jerry out to look at it. It is the busy season, but I understand they get backed up, no pun intended. I did have to call them 2-3x, but they did eventually get back to me after I became the squeaky wheel.
Jerry got to our place on Friday, and said the pump is definitely fried, and he would need to buy a new one from out of state, as it was a big pump and they didn't have one in stock.
By Wednesday of the following week, Jerry called me at work to say that he got the pump air freight, and that it took a bit of doing, but he was able to clear a blockage in the drain line and get the pump working and that all was now OK.
When I got home, I checked his work, and everything was very neatly and professionally installed. I tested operation of the pump (using a long hook to gently lift the floats in the liquids tank) and everything was working just fine. I called him to thank him for doing a great job.
The job turned out being a LOT more than I thought it would (I guess most repairs of this kind are under $1000, but ours was in the $2000 range. I attribute this to the specialty pump and air freight involved.
Nevertheless, the guys got the septic fixed, and did a good and professional job. I would use them again.
