"POOR service. countertops loose and seams cracked within 6 months. we attempted repair several times - company refused to come out to professionally repair. see my comment below: Good morning Rita. I’ve asked you no less than four times to call me, and I have called you and left messages on four separate occasions. I have not received a call back or had any opportunity to discuss your work with you or your repair proposal, which I think is ridiculous. Charging us almost $500 as a “travel fee“ is not reasonable by any measure. At this point I don’t feel like I have any choice but to Leave online reviews On several Platforms noting your communication and customer service, which is clearly contentious and poor. I’m sorry that it’s come to this, I hoped for otherwise. I’ll engage A local artisan to fix the granite, and I’ll spread the word. David"

PG Tile specializes in custom installation of tile, marble, granite, slate, and travertine in both: new construction and remodeling projects. We offer IN HOME consultations and design services.

"This was a remodel in a 50-year-old condo, installation of a radiant heat system. From beginning to end, the project went perfectly, without a hitch. Paul and his sons did beautiful work, of a very high standard and quality of workmanship. Once started, the project proceeded quickly, with no slowdowns or missed days. The job site was clean and tidy at the end of each day. They were all very pleasant to work with. I can highly recommend PG Tile and would certainly use them for future projects."

Fireplaces questions, answered by experts

Yes, you should seal an unused chimney. Even if it’s not in use, the structure is still susceptible to moisture damage, which can lead to problems like cracks, spalling, efflorescence, and damaged mortar joints. But you should also cap the chimney to prevent blockages while still allowing for air ventilation (which also prevents moisture damage). Also, continue to get an annual chimney inspection to prevent other issues with the structure.

Cracked panels, worn-out seals, faulty dampers, and firebrick damage often need professional attention.

Cracks in the chimney can be very serious, depending on their location and size. Even small cracks can become serious over time if left unrepaired. Cracks allow heat and moisture to deteriorate your chimney and harmful carbon monoxide gas to seep into your home. Small cracks can often be caulked, while large cracked sections may require full replacement.

A chimney cap costs about $300 on average. The prices range from about $75 to $1,000, depending on the material, size, any repairs needed, and if your chimney cap requires custom fabrication. Chimney caps are usually made from galvanized steel, copper, or stainless steel. Additional costs may include hiring a chimney sweep to clean the chimney before a cap is installed.

A liter of bioethanol costs $11 and burns for around four hours, making it cost around $2.75 per hour to keep your bioethanol fireplace running. For comparison, natural gas costs around $0.50 per hour, and propane costs around $1.60 per hour.

How much it costs you to run your bioethanol fireplace largely depends on how often you use it. Hypothetically speaking, if you run your fireplace for four hours a week year-round, you’ll go through one liter of biofuel per week or about $570 per year to run the fireplace.
