"Brisco Roofing submitted the lowest of three separate bids to replace the roof on our home. The crew did an excellent job on the new roof. We made a cash deposit for the work, and the staff carefully explained the materials and work that would be done to replace the roof."

"I'm in the process of a divorce and selling my home. It turned out the roof had to be replaced in order for homeowners insurance to provide coverage. I was not in a position to pay for this out of pocket. This company was willing to work with me to get the work done, even allowing me to make the deposit in payments and went out of their way to get it done quickly. When they started the work, they discovered a lot of the plywood sheets were rotten and there was no framing support around one corner of the roof. They had to reframe the whole section. The owner himself is a very kind man and is teaching his son the business so I got to meet him as well. I had estimates from two other companies that were several thousand dollars more than what the total cost ended up being with Romvil A1 Roofing & Remodeling LLC. I will forever be grateful to Eric, Maggie and the whole team for helping me out. I know who I will call if I need this kind of work in the future."

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Longview homeowners increasingly choose architectural asphalt shingles in earthy tones or deep greens to complement local scenery. Metal roofing is gaining traction for its durability and ability to shed rain efficiently. Enhanced drainage systems, such as oversized gutters and decorative rain chains, are popular for managing heavy rainfall. Moss-resistant roof treatments and improved attic ventilation are also sought after for longevity and energy efficiency.

Helpful?

In Longview, a thorough seasonal roof inspection routine helps prevent costly roof repairs. Start spring by checking for winter storm damage, moss growth, and clogged gutters. In summer, clear debris and trim back overhanging branches. Fall is ideal for removing leaves and inspecting shingles, while winter calls for monitoring leaks, ice dams, and attic ventilation. This routine addresses Longview’s unique wet, tree-heavy environment.

Helpful?

In Longview, gutters and downspouts frequently require attention due to heavy rainfall and falling debris from mature trees. North-facing roof sections and shaded areas are more susceptible to moss and algae growth. Roof valleys, low-slope sections, and flashing around skylights or chimneys are common sources of leaks, making regular roof inspections essential for maintaining your home’s integrity in the local climate.

Helpful?

In Longview, combining roof replacement with gutter upgrades, attic insulation, or siding repairs can streamline exterior work and minimize disruption. Coordinating these projects is especially beneficial for older homes prone to moisture issues. For example, upgrading attic ventilation alongside roofing helps prevent mold, while new gutters protect siding from water damage. Avoid pairing with major landscaping to prevent unnecessary complications during installation.

Helpful?

In Longview, most roof replacements on single-story homes take about 2–4 days, but larger or complex projects may extend up to 8 days. Minor roof repairs, such as shingle or flashing replacement, are often completed within 1–2 days. Weather conditions, especially during the rainy season, can cause delays, so scheduling during drier months and planning ahead with local contractors is recommended.
