"I wanted to receive quotes for a siding project from several companies and debella debt out Blake & Brady for the initial quote. They were very friendly and professional and unlike other companies respected the fact I wanted to do this in February. They were very supportive and didn't try to pressure a same day sale. The actually spent over 5 hours at my home going over all the details and answering my questions. The found the right serv6fir me within my budget so I signed up now for them to start in February. They are one of only 2 actual certified james hardie color plus installers in idaho in I feel confident they will do a fantastic job."

"They were top notch from top to bottom! The sales person got back to me and answered all my questions, the installation crew was incredible and they did a really great job and there are very little seams on my whole house. The clean up crew was great and the whole job for the entire exterior of my house was done in two days. They installed siding for the whole house, installed soffit and fascia boards, and installed the gutters and downspouts. The house looks phenomenal and they did a really great job. I am delighted that I chose Champion!"

"Brock was great to work with. He was communicative throughout the project and kept me updated on progress each day. He did a great job replacing all of my interior window casings, and everything looks great. I'd definitely hire Brock again."

Siding questions, answered by experts

In Longview, siding projects for a single-story home usually take 5-8 days, while larger or multi-story homes may require up to 18 days. Rainy weather, especially from November through March, can cause delays. Scheduling exterior cladding work between April and October takes advantage of drier conditions and better contractor availability, helping ensure a smoother, more efficient installation process.

Helpful?

In Longview, homeowners should factor in the city’s persistent rainfall, high humidity, and proximity to the Columbia River, which can intensify wind-driven moisture. Local building codes require robust moisture barriers and seismic considerations. Opting for weather-resistant siding, like fiber cement or engineered wood, helps combat moss, mildew, and air quality concerns from nearby industry. Prioritize materials and installation methods proven to withstand Longview’s unique climate.

Helpful?

In Longview, siding near gutters, rooflines, and shaded north-facing walls often deteriorates first due to constant moisture and moss growth. Areas around windows, doors, and where decks or porches meet the house are also prone to damage. Regularly inspect for soft spots, discoloration, or mildew, especially after heavy rain, to catch issues early and extend the life of your home’s exterior cladding.

Helpful?

In Longview, keep children and pets safe by establishing clear boundaries around the work area, using temporary barriers, and storing tools securely each day. With frequent rain, ensure walkways are dry and free from debris. For older homes, request dust control and lead-safe removal practices. Choose siding materials with impact and fire resistance, and communicate daily with your contractor about any safety concerns or schedule changes.

Helpful?

Siding longevity in Longview depends on using moisture-resistant materials, such as fiber cement or insulated vinyl, and ensuring expert installation with proper flashing and house wrap. Pay special attention to ventilation and sealing around windows and doors to prevent water intrusion. Regularly remove moss and mildew, especially on shaded walls, and inspect for early signs of warping or rot to preserve your exterior cladding.
