"We were in need of repair estimates for a home buying decision. We knew what the problems were. We needed to know the cost to fix the issues for negotiations with the seller. We clearly asked over the phone if Sabco would be able to provide an estimate to repair and not just engineering cost estimates. They said they would so we scheduled an appointment. During the appointment Sabco said they do not provide estimates to repair (not what they said on the phone). Sabo was then unable to provide any useful estimate for the engineering work citing they couldn't see the issue clearly enough, ignoring the fact most issues we wanted quoted were completely visible. One of the problem areas was with joists that were 100% visible. Another was with foundation concerns that were 100% visible. The other was with a joist that had limited visibility. Sabco claimed there was nothing they could do to provide an estimate without demolition work to see it better. I asked why they didn't use an endoscope which is a common tool of the trade in this situation. They said that was impossible. The next contractor to show up to give a quote brought an endoscope with them and was able to quote proving Sabco was incompetent. Sabco did not deliver what they said would do when we agreed to use them during our phone screen, did not deliver what they later changed their story to say they deliver and would not refund our payment after not delivering anything of value."

"One star is too generous! I wish I listened to these reviews as they seemed spread out throughout the years but now I wonder if a lot of people just don’t have the time to go and write something…ESPECIALLY after norwest has wasted sooo much of your time already! I don’t even know where to start on how awful this process has been start to finish! But it falls right in line with these other reviews! Wasted time, terrible communication, labor bids that seem to go up and up in price or issues arising (which are always YOUR fault btw) we had cabinet delays which I understand but now have been at a standstill on moving forward…caused me to attempt to contract out pieces of the labor myself (that they should have done btw and that we paid for already) but then they don’t communicate if it’s all coming together and being handled correctly leaving me to do everything and to reiterate we already paid them half the bid quote!! this entire thing has been an absolute nightmare and all I seem to get from HD and norwest is that nothing not their fault whatsoever. Right now I have absolutely no kitchen, it’s completely demo’d with no walls -it’s winter and I have 2 small children…people just don’t care or have any accountability like in the past ?? I will never understand and I resent being treated like I’m the problem here and “over reacting” or something …I’m sorry the rest of the reviews speak for themselves!!"
