Sound Oil makes heating oil so easy. We had a service contract with them for years. They come out once a year and tune up the furnace- they are friendly, on time and neat. They were super responsive for any issues that popped up. They also monitored our oil levels, topped us off and kept an eye out for any issues. They are pros. Glad we found them (the previous home's owners had a contract with them, and we just carried it forward!), we lucked out! Highly recommend.

They're really good.? They usually like to do service before the heating season, in October, and they usually do.? But for some reason our signals got crossed.?They have a service contract, so we have one of those with them, but they've been our oil supplier for ages.? They took over another fuel company.? Like I said, they usually try to do it before the heating season starts, but we didn't quite get it in on schedule, but it's close enough.?If you sign a contract with them, it's less than $200. It's a service contract that covers Spring and Summer maintenance, and then also some parts, and labor, so it's really a good deal.? There's tank insurance that's included in that.? If you have oil you definitely want to do that, because if your oil tank starts to leak, you're really in big trouble around here.? They're always responsive.? If you have a problem with your furnace, they will come out as soon as they can.? You know, if it doesn't come on or something weird happens, they're there for you.? For price, I don't think they have too much control over that any more, but I would say they're in the ball park with all the other oil companies.? It's just so hard to say on prices of oil, because if the supply goes down, then your price goes up if you're getting a delivery.? But if you're not getting a delivery, then overall if you average it out during the whole year, then I think they're reasonable.? They're really good, and friendly.? It's usually one guy for maintenance and he's usually the same person.? Once in a while it's a different person.? They get familiar with your furnace and then they measure your tank.? It's just one person and it? takes them about an hour because they do a thorough cleaning and maintenance.? They leave the area totally clean when they're done, just like it was.? What do they do really well?? Just keeping the furnace running optimally I guess, efficiently, and also if you're on auto-delivery, they have these formulas they use that's based on heating degree days, they look at the history of the house and how the temperature's running over a period of time, and they schedule that way.? We've never run out of oil, let me put it that way.? A lot of people call, but I just think auto-delivery's better.?

Best part is they are usually pretty quick about getting out and filling up the oil. Worst part is they had to come out 5 times to fix my furnace that had blown the conductor box on it. The guy they were sending came out time after time after time again, and he didn't know what he was doing. They are bound by barrel costs. They are bound to whatever a barrel of oil costs on the market at that time. Responsiveness they are good about that. I would use them in the future because I do not have a choice.

It's not an additional cost. It's part of the agreement. I think they are fairly competitive. One person came to do the service and it took him an hour and a half. He was very pleasant and professional. He cleaned the area very well. You wouldn't know they were there.

I have always had good service with them. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

I am Sound Oil 30 yrs customer. I have two rental property accounts under them. They are very professional and always take action to meet my need. Recently they installed a new furnace at my place. The price includes duct cleaning ,etc. The bid document is well prepared including all required items. The installation is on schedule and within the budget. Specially thanks to T Bill and Stefanie for their excellent service.

It went extremely well I was impressed with the speed and the very very high quality of service. The Engineers make sure to answer all questions and really do a great job of making sure everything is clean prior to leaving.

I have a contract with them of $250 for a year and I pay nothing else the whole year for their visits. They are very nice and respecting. They do the job quickly and my furnace always work.

They are reliable.  They provide solid service and they are on the expensive side.
