Tyler was excellent I would never use anyone else. He is incredibly detail oriented, He understands what he is looking at ,takes his time and is very thorough.

It went very well, Tyler of First Choice helped me several times for inspections. His ability to communicate with me and the buyers was very thorough. Both me and his clients are very happy and satisfied.

I really enjoyed working with him. I've used him multiple times. He's a great guy. He's fun to work with. He knows what he was doing. He has a lot of knowledge. He walks me through and explains everything. He's the one that I preferred.

It was fantastic. He arrived before I did. He was very thorough and detailed. He was very approachable. He answered all of the questions that I had. He was very straightforward.

To start out, I'm a computer guy. I know next to nothing about construction. So I figured I was going to get a written report I barely understood. Well, I got a written report (the same day, no less) and it makes perfect sense, because Tyler talked through his findings with me, answered all my questions, and went into detail when needed but still at a level I could understand. Bottom line: you want him to do your inspection - if I need another one some day, I know who I'm calling.

Tyler M. was able to come on very short notice to do a pre-offer inspection in the Woodinville area. He is a prompt, thorough, and courteous professional who completed a rigorous inspection of the home followed by an accompanying walkthrough and rundown of all of his findings. A full report with guidance was provided the following morning that allowed us to better assess the condition of the home prior to any further negotiations. What separates Tyler is his clear dedication to his work and support to his clients. I contacted him weeks later for guidance and recommendations on seeking remedies to some of the issues that cropped up in the inspection report and Tyler provided resources and additional suggestions on how to achieve those ends. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

My partner wrote this and I'm sharing it to Angies List: First Choice Home Inspection, run by Tyler Mittendorf, is absolutely phenomenal. He has, single-handedly, saved me quite a lot of money and I refer him to everybody I meet. When you buy a condo or a house, you should never skimp on inspection. When I bought my condo, I saw about 20 places and inspected 4. When I bought my house, I saw 120 and inspected 8. Tyler saved me from potential disaster in both of those ventures, and his inspection gave me the leverage to ask for repairs which would have been expensive down the road which I would otherwise not have seen. I have had places which provided pre-inspection, but because I trust Tyler more than any other inspector I've met, I always get his inspection on top of it, and every single time he has always caught things the other inspectors haven't. For example, one house provided a pre-inspection which found typical but not overly concerning issues. Tyler found the foundation was actually covered in a thin sheen of something which looked like concrete and which had over inch-wide cracks in it in multiple places. This saved me from a house I would have otherwise bid on and required more than $20,000 (at least) in repairs for. During the process of inspection, he is affable, he explains his thoughts and concerns, provides a good understanding of the issue so you can make a good decision. Despite all this, he is still affordable and his schedule is more available than most inspectors I have worked with. He is just an honest businessman doing a good job, and I trust him completely. I plan to continue to refer him to everyone I know, and I plan to continue using him for any inspection needs, including in a few years time to see what upkeep my house needs.

The inspection went well. Tyler was very accommodating by coming out to do the inspection on Saturday on a short notice. He arrived on time, actually a bit earlier. He was very detail oriented. He produced the inspection report quickly. The report was very detailed with pictures, and easy to understand. His aerial photos of the tile roof uncovered some defects on the roof. The information was very useful. We will definitely hire him again in the future. We will also recommend him to our friends.

He did an inspection of the exterior of my home. It was excellent, he was very thorough. We received a very detailed report (more than a dozen pages) with all of his findings from the roof on down. It detailed an outlined all the findings for each element.

Everything was fine.  I don't remember anything spectacular.  They didn't catch anything that I didn't see, but I didn't run into anything that they missed either.  The experience was favorable but not excellent.  Their responsiveness from what I remember was good.  I don't remember any issues with punctuality.  Honestly, I can't really comment on what I liked or disliked because I don't remember any particulars since it was 3 years ago.

Tyler did an awesome job. He was already in my neighborhood and fit me in his schedule the same day I called, which was really appreciated! He was fast, friendly and thorough. I would definitely recommend him and would use his services again.

We hired First Choice to look at our 32 year old home to see if there were any items that needed to be repaired/replaced in anticipation of possibly selling. Tyler did an incredibly thorough job. His attention to detail was way more than I expected. He gave us a detailed report complete with photographs the same day as the inspection. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Tyler spent over 3 hours going over the entire house, taking pictures of all relevant issues and stopping to describe in detail anything I had questions about. I've used other inspectors before, but this guy was by far the best. He obviously had extensive knowledge about all facets of a home and the issues present in them; exactly what you want from a home inspector. Afterwards, he emailed us a thorough report about the entire house along with pictures of any issues. He actually had computer problems, but worked throughout the night just to get us the full inspection in time, all without charging us a penny more for his time and effort. Truly exemplary service. I scheduled the inspection of my home to give myself a checklist of maintenance items and make sure nothing goes unnoticed since it has been a while since my last one.
Tyler was on time, extremely thorough and very friendly.  He found several issues including in the attic and crawlspace, which I rarely enter.
He was polite and helpful in answering my questions about repairs of some of the items.  
He emailed me the report the same day and it included pictures and details about the problem areas.  I now have a long list of maintenance items to tackle throughout the summer.
