"The water in the kitchen pipes froze last winter and required plumbers to cut open some drywall to fix the flow of water in the pipes. Now that has been fixed I needed someone to install drywall and paint to match the color of the basement ceiling. Ron was quick to come over to do an estimate and he was able to accommodate my schedule, get an excellent paint match, and it was installed and painted the next day. I highly recommend Ron and his team. I couldn’t ask for better service!"

"If you are local and EVER have drywall needs, Level Up Drywall is amazing. Juan is super kind, knowledgeable, professional, fast and his rates are beyond reasonable and their customer service is fantastic. I had a section of drywall in my child’s room that had disintegrated. Juan removed it, patched and textured it and made it look like it never happened. Times are hard for everyone, especially local, small businesses (I unfortunately lost the best plumber for this reason), so if you need someone who knows what he’s doing, give Level Up a call and support a local family that makes sure you, your home and your family are taken care of right. I am so grateful!"

"Pedro’s a dream to work with. First off, he’s extremely fast and does things right right off the bat. He has over a decade of experience and if anything, he charges way too little for his efforts. Secondly, he and his father-in-law are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet! I have low energy levels and am quite introverted , meaning I lose a lot of energy interacting with others; interacting with Pedro lifts up my energy and gets me excited about work and life in general. I honestly can’t recommend Pedro enough. If you have a drywall project, do give him a call. You won’t regret it! The project he’s done for me was a newly built wall with door access between the upper and lower levels of my newly remodeled house. What he put in place looks like it’s always been there and was meant to be. It’s truly beautiful work!"

"We originally had Brandon and his crew drywall an unfinished storage area and were very pleased with the work. We hired him again to repair a bedroom ceiling when we replaced all the track lighting with recessed lighting. When they finished you would never know it had been patched in so many places. Excellent work, reasonable price and great service!"

"We hung the drywall ourselves and hired GMJ for the taping and finishing. Marcos did a beautiful job for our project of converting a 10'X12' shed into a tiny home. He showed up on time and completed everything, including a primer coat for painting, within two days. He did a wonderful job of covering a couple of our mistakes in hanging the drywall. We got three bids and Marcos was $200 cheaper than the next lowest bidder. Marcos is a hard worker with awesome skills. He is also a very likeable person. I heartily recommend him!"

On average, drywall installation costs $2,000, depending on the size, complexity, accessibility, and location of the job. The typical cost range is from about $400 to $6,000, which includes materials and labor. Additional cost factors include the thickness of the drywall, the shape and height of the room, and the level of finish. The level of finish ranges from only hanging the drywall to taping and mudding the seams between panels to painting the walls.
Most drywall used for interior walls of homes is 1/2-inch thick. This size strikes a balance of being easy to handle and hang while being thick enough for the durability needed on interior wall applications.
The average cost to apply a skip-trowel drywall texture to walls is $1.25 to $2.00 per square foot. Ceilings cost slightly more because of the increased difficulty of working overhead. Additional cost factors include any drywall repairs and removal of existing textures or wallpaper.
The typical cost to repair drywall ranges from $300 to $900 for walls, and about $440 to $1,520 for ceilings. Cost factors include the size of the repairs and how extensive and specialized the repairs are. Average drywall repair cost ranges include:
Small holes (up to four inches across): $60–$200
Large holes: $50–$75 per square foot
Cracks: $60–$400
Dents: $60–$200
Ceiling repair: $320–$1,300
Water damage: $1,300–$5,550
Nail pop repairs: $60–$200
The cost to skim coat drywall is $1.15 to $1.35 per square foot. Most of the cost is labor, for the necessary skills to apply the skim coat with precision using high-quality tools. This is a job better left to the professionals for the best outcomes.
