"Ozzie called me as soon as my request was posted. A few days later he and his partner showed up and finished in one day! (It would have taken me a week I bet) They removed the moss by hand with wired brushes, not damaging pressure washer. Ozzie showed me 3 moss-damaged shingles just above roof vents. Ozzie identified the brand and color of the singles, called in the order and I shot into town and bought a pack of shingles and Ozzie installed them for an extra fee, but saved me from a giant headache later, I'm sure. We couldn't be happier with their work. Thanks!"

"I have been using them for 3 years for multiple projects and would not go to somebody else. They also built a cabin in the woods. It was built 10 miles from the road so it was like carrying all the stuff up the path. They also did the garage and remodeling of the house, mostly kitchen and a little bit of plumbing work in the bathroom. I am still using them and I would be using them for the next thing that will be coming up too."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

The average cost to install a fence that is 200 feet in length is $4,600, but this largely depends on the type of fence you build. For instance, a 200-linear-foot redwood fence costs between $3,600 and $7,000.

Green branches are more flexible and easier to work with, but they'll shrink as they dry, which can loosen your fence weave over time—so you'll need to weave them extra tight to account for shrinkage. Some species, particularly willow, may also try to sprout when used green. For these reasons, it’s typically easiest to use branches that have dried for a week or two.

Typically, a fence requires one to two coats of stain. The exact number can vary depending on the porosity of the wood. For specific guidance, it's best to check the manufacturer's instructions. After applying the first coat and letting it dry completely, you can assess the finish. If it appears patchy, uneven, or you want a more saturated color, a second coat is recommended. An extra coat can also help cover lap marks.

Lattice should not touch the ground, as it creates a possibility for rot and a termite infestation. It’s best to leave a gap of 3 or 4 inches at the bottom for airflow and to keep the wood dry. You can add stones, bricks, or other decorative pieces to conceal the bottom of the lattice if desired.

In most cases, installing a vinyl fence will increase your property value. Not only do buyers typically like the appearance of vinyl fences, but they will also recognize that it adds security and privacy to your home and yard, which can also mean greater peace of mind and enjoyment of the space. Vinyl fences can also improve your home’s curb appeal, attracting more buyers and potentially offering more for your home.
