My husband had used a sprayer and only put on a single coat at the time. When they pressure washed our house, quite a bit of loose paint came off, down to the bare wood. That meant that the primer paint layer that was needed was more extensive than they had planned. They did a great job making sure the bare wood was all primed, and then painted 2 coats of top quality paint. All the lines are crisp and so professional. We realized after they started that we also wanted to have the deck painted, and they were able to do that too, at a very good price. Stuart and his team met and greatly exceeded our expectations! "These guys are stellar. My deck was in disrepair and I was uncertain what to do with it - whether to totally knock it down and start anew, or to build on the existing foundation. It was for me an exceedingly good experience with a contractor, and their work is solid. I was nervous as a first time home owner to hire a contractor, for fear of not knowing enough and being taken. I had spoken with several other general contractors and also specific deck builders prior to hiring Modern Exteriors, and each could have built a deck. One larger company offered a lower price but when they came out, the materials they suggested would have been sub-par and the deck would have been plastic-looking. These guys are a smaller business that build decks for a living, and are very good at it and clearly enjoy each project - like works of art. I highly recommend them."
