"We had Keith come out and show us how to maintain our saltwater pool. We've never had a pool before. He showed us how to work the various systems, and how to read the test strips and gauges. When your hot tub is not in use, you can keep it at a constant soaking temperature of around 100 degrees Fahrenheit.   • Don’t use the hot tub or your pool during a thunderstorm. 

  • Before using the hot tub, have a certified electrician thoroughly inspect your hot tub and its wiring to make sure you’re in full compliance with all applicable local building codes. 

Though a hot tub has many benefits, there are a few cons. Mainly, hot tubs require a lot of maintenance. You’ll need to deep clean yours quarterly, test the pH at least once or twice a week, and add sanitizing chemicals once a week. They also have relatively high ongoing costs since you’ll need to pay for electricity and repairs.
