"They did a great job on installing the water softener and purification system. At the same time they were installing the system I also had an electrician working pn finding why one of my breakers kept tripping. The electrician spent 2 1/2 hours and couldnâ t fix the problem. The electrician wanted to charge me another $500 to find the problem. I said no. The problem was that the water softener was also connected to the same breaker. Once the electrician left the Orbit workers offered to look for the reason the breaker was tripping. The didnâ t want to leave with the softener not plugged. In and not working. The 2 Orbit employees cheerfully started looking for the GFI responsible for breaker that kept tripping. THEY found the problem in 10 minutes and fixed the problem. They fixed a problem in 10 minutes that a 41 year electrician couldnâ t fix . The water softener was turned on, my breaker wasnâ t tripping and I was super happy. Recently I engaged Andy to service our well-water acid neutralizer tank, because I questioned the reliability of service by another company 13 months earlier. Andy tested our water and found that its pH value was 6.97, which was consistent with previous readings over the past six months when he did other work for us. Because our well-water pH is essentially neutral, Andy explained the acid neutralizer tank is not necessary. He offered two options: 1) remove the tank (thus leaving us with only the water softener tank) or 2) empty it, which option I selected. He also reduced the cost of the service call. Andy’s approach starkly contrasts with the other company that for years took advantage of an unsuspecting customer by charging almost $300 to “service” the tank and unnecessarily adding expensive calcite. "Commonwealth Plumbing is a small local operation. The plumber came quickly to assess my farm well pump problem and was ready to tackle the job.
