"Chris’s team from Clifton Contracting was fantastic. I’d been searching for a company to install a basement egress window so we could have a legal basement bedroom. Chris was the third estimate I receive since the two other estimates I’d gotten from other companies seemed high, one other company had even quoted me $10k for a fiberglass egress tub. Chris’s quote was literally almost half that and it was for a stone egress…additionally he was very knowledgeable and clear regarding the pricing for not just the basic window egress but also a virtual a la cart list of pricing options I could add if I wanted. I went with stone/segmented wall options which ended up looking great. I also ended up having Chris’s team wire the basement bedroom to code (running wire and installing the outlets) in addition to wiring & adding an additional hardwired fire alarm to code. I was planning on doing that piece myself but given the pricing was pretty reasonable and he could knock it out at the same time and include it in the permit as a single project, it was an easy choice for me. Overall I’m very happy with the work and would definitely use them again."
"Fantastic experience with JS Jackson! They did 2 projects for us - window replacement (6 windows for a townhouse) and cut and install new kitchen window. The leads on each project were very knowledgeable and great at explaining the process, answering questions, and advising on the best products for quality, budget, design, and function. The office staff is very responsive at handling scheduling, permits, invoices, etc. It’s been several months and the windows are clearly properly installed, well-sealed, no leakage, and outside framing looks flawless. "Presidential Exteriors is a well-managed company. We had twenty-five, very large, windows, two large sliding glass doors and the front door replaced. Everyone, starting with the young man who approached us to talk about the company, the salespeople and the team doing the work was professional, polite, honest, pleasant and super careful. The windows, sliding glass doors and the front door look amazing. Our house is fifty-two-years old and badly needed to be "refreshed". The quality of their products is excellent. While the work was being done, several people from the company came by to check on the progress. After the job was completed, we met with Ben who came by to do a final inspection and answer any questions or concerns we may have. The crew cleaned up and vacuumed before they left. I finally got around to special ordering the replacement piece, and contacted Jim the Handyman to get it installed. Their office was extremely prompt and responsive about getting me an estimate and scheduling the service to be completed. I was very happy with the professionals they sent, as the work was done carefully, thoroughly, and with a full explanation at every step of the way. In assessing the project before starting, we noticed that some bathroom tiles also needed re-fixing to the floor, and this was completed at an additional cost. I would not say that Jim the Handyman was the cheapest vendor I found for this job, but I really appreciate the quality workmanship which was the real priority for me. "strongly recommend Glass Smith for any window or glass repair or replacements that you may need. Last week, one of the glass panes in our studio cracked, and we called Glass Smith to repair it. Our glass panes was a double glass, and only one was cracked, so Glass Smith replaced the cracked one with a new one. They did everything right away, ordered the new glass pane, and replaced the glass within two days. This was not the first time that our glass pane cracked. This tends to happen during severe cold weather in winter. Last year, when it happened, we contacted a different glass repair company, and it took them over a week to replace it. This time, we decided to call Glass Smith, and we were very impressed with the professional work of the technician, and the overall friendliness and responsiveness of the manager. The best way to transport wine glasses is to pack them upright in a divided, padded box designed specifically for stemware.
