"Louis and his partner we very professional and thorough. They initially put down drop cloths to protect our floors and nearby items. The precisely installed the insulation to match up with what was already on the walls. I had 1 area that we could not clear out completely due to some heavy shelving, and they worked around the shelving and still did a great job. They ensured the new insulation was mounted correctly and attached well with the insulation that was already on the wall. They also fixed up with tape some adjacent pieces of insulation to make it look much neater. When they were finished to thoroughly cleaned up where they had performed the work. "Kelvin, the owner of the business, did a fantastic job with my project. He answered my call, was able to come by to look at the project promptly, knew exactly what I needed done, and made this process very easy with a reasonable quote as well. I had plywood flooring down and he and his guys unscrewed it, moved my attic items around to get full access in stages and sucked out all the old insulation, while covering my stairs and hallways with drop cloths. They were clean, respectful, efficient, showed me what was happening along the way, and did a stellar job. They added foam insulation and blown-in insulation, reinstalled my flooring and left the job in very good condition. I am very happy to recommend them!"

"I have to restrain myself from going overboard recommending Northern Virginia Insulation. Of the responses supplied by Angie's List, NoVa Insulation was able to schedule the first in-home appointment. They asked for a half hour to assess the opportunity. (Another company wanted to set up a 2-hour appointment with both owners present, which looked too much like an invitation to a sales pitch, so we passed on them.) Jeff, the owner, arrived when expected, took only as much time as he needed to gauge the materials and effort involved and work up a quote. He was pleasant, focused and professional, providing a price without pressure or drama. His crew was able to perform the work within a week, arriving on time and taking extraordinary care to avoid damage or leaving debris. All-in-all the experience was first-rate, from responsiveness, to price (best of all the quotes), to quality of work. If you can get them, do so. Highly recommended!"

"There was a problem initially with the radiant barrier installation - the first crew of two were installing 30" wide rolls lengthwise along the roof end to end  instead of from ridge to eave as the manufacturer recommends and made a couple of other minor mistakes which were easily corrected. After talking to the manufacturer, the sales rep offered to take out what had been installed and re-install according to spec or continue as already done with sealing of all seams and a discount on the job. Done this way, the foil would not have the insulation properties per spec but would provide the radiant barrier I desired. I chose the letter option and the barrier work was continued by another crew on the 2nd day. On the 3rd day the crew finished up with the barrier then blew in the installation.

With the exception of the initial problem, the work was done neatly and professionally by courteous workmen who cleaned up completely after the job was done.

"Jeff and his installers did a great job installing the blown in insulation at my home. I could not believe the difference it made in both the summer and winter. Jeff was even kind enough to work out a deal with my neighbors when we ran into a unique situation with a shared attic space typical in Old Town. They guy that came in and performed the work were clean and friendly. They were in and out in just a few hours, and they did a great job cleaning up after the job was done, you never would have known they were there. One issue is that Jeff can be difficult to reach by phone when you want to talk to him, and is not the best at calling back. I will say he is responsive by text and email, but some things need to be discussed by voice. Over all the insulation job was well done."
