"Had a great experience with Chris Kuper at Basement Detective! My basement flooded from non-stop storms and I needed a sump pump installed along with complete renovation of my basement. They were very competitive in pricing and outstanding in results. Chris even helped coordinate with the contractor doing my basement renovation after the sump was installed to make sure none of the drainage was disturbed by the new work being done. I have since weathered at least 3 large storms and can hear the sump working as needed. Very happy with the results!"

"My wife and I reached out to several waterproofing/foundation repair companies and ultimately went with Deska as Dave, the on-site estimator, was the most knowledgeable, honest, and efficient when assessing our basement’s water damage. We were NOT disappointed with the quality of work. Ronald and Andy showed up on time the morning of the project after giving a heads up call ~30 minutes out. They introduced themselves and explained the project scope confirming everything Dave had itemized on the project invoice before starting any work. I poked my head in the backyard a couple of times throughout the day to see if either of them needed anything, and Ronald always took a break to explain how the work was going. He took progress pictures and answered the exhaustive questions I threw his way as this was the first waterproofing project for me. The second/last day of the project prior to finishing up, Ronald and Andy gave my wife and I an overview of everything they had done and even insisted on returning the paver stones back to their original positions since we had those dug out when calling various contractors over for their estimates. A nice little personable touch! Thank you Dave and especially Ronald and Andy for your exceptional work and professionalism during the two days. Although it’s unfortunately a premium to find trustworthy contractors especially in the waterproofing/foundation repair space, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND these gentlemen to take care of any of your waterproofing/foundation repair needs."

I wanted to add a basement window before selling my home. I was told it could be done in a couple weeks. Just give them half the fee for a down payment and they would start the process. So I paid $5200 to get started. After a couple weeks I asked when will the work be done. I was told a little longer. After three weeks I asked when was the permit submitted. They never said the permit was submitted. They always implied it. They would say things like it should be approved soon or it will be another week or two. I found the website where you can search for and view permits that have been submitted. Mine wasn’t on there. I asked and they said it’s because they’re waiting for document updates. But there is a place on the site for status that would show it was waiting for document updates. As best I can tell, they never did anything and lied to me the whole time. When I canceled, I found out that in the fine print of the contract they still get to keep 30% of the full price. They refunded $2100 of the $5200 and kept $3100."

Working with them was a great experience and I will go to them anytime engineering expertise is required. You need to be aware that this company is extremely busy and will require you to plan ahead in order for them to schedule you in. However, the results are worth the wait."
