I scheduled an appointment for LUX to give me a quote on what it would take to resolve my basement flooding. Keagan arrived at the scheduled time and I described the flooding issue. It would require replacing the basement stairwell drain, sump pump and connecting pipe. We also discussed putting french drain and a larger pad at the top of the stairs to close a gap between the foundation and stairs that allowed water to channel into the stairwell. Keagan was upfront about how and when the job would be scheduled. I was contacted when the job was initially scheduled and kept informed on any changes as the start date. Adam and Ace arrived the date specified and went right to work. They were professional, knowledgeable and answered all questions I had. They were a pleasure to work with. The seals had deteriorated to the point that I had a large plastic box under the pipes so that after every rain I would collect the water that otherwise would have destroyed our finished basement. After small storms, I would collect a couple gallons, after very large storms, I would collect over 8 gallons of water in the box. I spoke to one contractor who suggested excavating the outside of the home. No small task since the pipes enter about 6’ below grade and it would have involved removing several established plants.
