"the tech milled around for about 45 minute with half the time he was outside of my home by his truck. The tech at the end of the 45 minutes reported he could not locate the problem. he told me that he would have to break into my wall and wire my outlets to a near by light switch. He also stated he could do this for $395 plus parts. He also stated that this work would take 3 to 4 to complete and I would be responsible for the repairs to the drywall. This repair did not sound correct. outlets should not be put on the line with the switch. the tech took my payment for doing absolutely nothing. i was not left with a receipt after payment. I called this company minutes after the tech departed. I was informed that the tech would be contacted and they would get back to me. Two weeks later, three text and two additional phones this company has not responded"

"It went pretty smoothly. One of the best contractors I have had from Choice Home Warranty. Century Restoration Maintenance, LLC and owner PeAyre Gardner were awesome. I have had CHW several years and I wanted to cancel because every thing we called about they denied the claim. My husband decided to keep them. I was pleasantly surprised that they fixed both the leak and drywall in the ceiling from the leak. I did have to provide extra pics from the leak before it was approved as initially the claim was denied."

"After our first contractor left us high and dry, our friends recommended Angie's List.  She told us about how the providers who belong to Angie's List are responsible and professional, so we asked her to give us a name of a handyman and construction service. That is when we were introduced to Walls Construction and Handyman Service.  We contacted them last Friday and their receptionist was very responsive and professional and made us feel at ease and asked if she could send over their field rep that evening due to our circumstance.  Their field rep came over Friday evening after work hours to look at what we needed done and was very professional too.  They allowed us to use our tile we had already purchased.   They showed up Monday morning Oct 8 at 9 AM as promised and completed the job beyond my expectations.  We will be booking future work with them to complete some other projects we have long been waiting for.  Thanks Angie's List. "We had wanted to tile our bathroom floor and shower wall.  We called Ferguson Home Improvements and had them come out and give us an estimate.  We had already purchased the tile which was not a problem for them.  They gave us a great price and began work immediately.  During the process they found mold that was behind the shower wall.  This was a big concern for us because our youngest son has asthma and is highly allergic to mold.  Mr. Ferguson shared our concern and was very thorough in making sure that all the areas were removed and treated. During the construction phase of the project, Mr. Ferguson installed products that would insure that the "mold issue" was not going to happen again.  This was more work than we had planned on but it was well worth the health of our child!  It was very comforting to know that we had someone there doing the work that was knowledgeable in all areas, not just tile installation, and was able to fix the problem correctly.

"Cougar Development did an excellent job creating a living space out of an addition to a home built in 1918. The drywall work was excellent as was the placing of needed electrical outlets and ceiling fan/lighting. Closet space is extremely hard to come by in our neighborhood and Cougar was able to build a 30 sq ft closet that our growing family is able to take advantage of. This room was just a storage space and is now a usable living area after Cougar was done with it. The quality of work for the price I paid was amazing! I have already recommended Cougar to those in my neighborhood and will continue to do so!"

"Exceptional service!  We originally called Steve to ask if he could tell us if a certain wall was load bearing, as we'd never had to make that determination before, and didn't want to risk making a mistake if we took on the project ourselves.  He said he could, and we arranged a time for him to come to our house.  He was prompt, friendly, and professional, and he took a look at the wall (plus another one that we were also considering removing), and let us know that one was safe to remove, while the other wasn't.  We thanked him, and asked how much we owed him for his expert advice.  He said that we didn't owe him anything.  Since that was the only reason he'd come to our house, we were really amazed.  Out of curiosity, we asked him how much he would charge to take down the wall and get it ready for paint.  He said he'd put together a quote and let us know.  We heard back from him the same day with a quote of $1200, and said it would probably take a couple of days to complete the project.  We asked if he had a military discount, and he said he'd see what he could do.  We heard back from him very quickly, and he said he could give us a military rate of $1100.  We decided we were better off hiring him than doing the work ourselves, and made arrangements for him to come out in a week, when he had free space in his schedule.  However, a couple of days later, he called and said that upcoming rain had delayed another project, and he asked if we'd like him to come out earlier.  We said that would be great, and set up a time.  He arrived promptly on time, did the work quickly, kept our home as clean as possible during the project, and cleaned up after himself when he left.  He worked essentially 2 1/2 full days, then came back in the evening on a 3rd day to finish sanding after the mud on the drywall was dry.  His work and professionalism were exceptional.  We also asked him to take a look at an outdoor faucet, which he took apart and then explained which piece was broken and needed replaced.  He was willing to do the work, but explained how we could do it ourselves.  Because he didn't actually repair the faucet, he again refused to charge us for his advice.  The same was true for a couple of other issues in the house--he evaluated them, and told us how to fix them, then refused payment for the advice.  He was certainly willing to do the work; he just wasn't going to act like it was something that wasn't simple for us to do on our own.  We would absolutely hire him again.  He was prompt, honest, set a fair price, and did great work.  He was also an absolute pleasure to do business with.

"The initial consultation was scheduled online and the company was very prompt to respond and schedule a home visit.  They arrived as scheduled and were very detailed in explaining options.  They also came when scheduled for follow up visits for measurements, inspections, etc.  Some personal matters resulted in me delaying the start of the work by several months and the company was very understanding and willing to work with me.  Once the work was actually scheduled to start, the installer arrived as planned.  He was professional and diligent in performing the work, which took about 2 weeks to finish.  As the first phase of the demolition started, he identified some things that could be done to open the main room up, which were good suggestions that were accepted.  He also performed other repairs that were identified along the way, like unforseen cracks in walls that he patched, and rotting wood that needed to be replaced to install the new windows.  The cost estimate that was initially quoted was the true final cost, in spite of the little adjustments that had to be made along the way.  There were no issues with the county inspections, which they coordinated at each phase.  They did not disrupt my neighbors as the work progressed and cleaned up at the completion of the job.  About half way through the job, I received a call from the representative that had set up the initial contract just to check in and see how things were going.  I really appreciated that.  The entire Remodel USA team, from the initial consultation, to the delivery of the materials, and the actual installation, was well communicated and coordinated.  I would definitely consider using this company again for remodeling and renovation work.  The cost was a little higher than a traditional remodel with drywall installation, etc. but the basement system is of the highest quality and well worth the extra cost, plus it comes with a warranty.
