"Chose this company because of the, absolute mistake. I called because we bought a home and the master suite addition wasn’t getting enough air and was concerned about the duct work. The tech came looked at the unit and within 2 min said we needed a larger unit and didn’t even go into the attic to check the ducts. Closed a vent and said we had no options but to buy a bigger unit. Also, tried to tell us the motor was going bad was leaking oil. Paid $115 service charge to have him close a vent and be on his way 27 minutes later. I called Rose City Air for a 2nd opinion and they showed up within 30 min. Lo and behold, the duct work is tied in incorrectly and needs to be fixed and no oil leak - it’s just a “weep” plug which is normal. Yes I could use a larger unit but we came up with a solution for a couple of hundred dollars before I spend $7000 on a new unit. I called the owner to explain the situation with his tech, he told me Rose City was taking my money and thanks for doing business with them. I’d say $115 well spent to not use this company and know what kind of service you could have expected."

Probiotics from the Sea of Galilee and Israel. The first and only product that automatically cleans the ducts and disperses billions of cultured probiotics into the home. Killing the bad bacteria and making a hypo allergenic germ free safe home. Good for people with allergies, asthma, sleep disorders, environmental headaches and pet dander.

"It was efficient and prompt. The insulation was great. They made an appointment to start the job. The work they did was installed very nicely and they cleaned up."

"HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & TRAINING- DO NOT USE THEM *8/10/23 update* I ended up having to call back to get transferred to an owner. The secretary was rude and told me I "Wasn't acting very bright". The owner I spoke to was also rude, but we did come to somewhat of an agreement. They are supposed to be sending me on updated bill for just the service call, as I have proof they didn't fix the problem. Obviously, I will never use them again! *Updated 8/8/23* IF I AM CONTACTED, I WILL UPDATE MY REVIEW. I called them out for an AC leak in the house. He "unclogged" a pipe on the inside of the house and washed the outside unit with my hose (No cleaner because of animals that he didn't ask me to move). $240 later, the unit was STILL leaking. I called again to come and look at the unit again. I was told that I would have to pay the $240 ,I was billed, before they would fix the AC. I told the lady on the phone I would gladly pay my bill when my AC was fixed, but that they hadn't done anything the first time. I was told that the owner would call me to discuss. I ended up having to fix the AC unit myself."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Bubble wrap is better for moving since it can be cut to size, whereas dish foam comes in precut sheets that are harder to manipulate. However, if you’re packing items like dishes, wine glasses, picture frames, or mirrors, dish foam will protect them better. Ensure you measure your box beforehand so you know what size dish foam to purchase.

Three signs that you need crawl space insulation are drafts, high energy bills, and mold. Drafts can start in crawl spaces and cause hot or cold air to spread to the rest of your home through holes in the floors and walls. And even if your entire home is well-insulated, you can still feel an unchecked draft from your crawl space and in your utility bill. Uninsulated crawl spaces can let in air and moisture, and because they’re built directly on the ground and difficult to dry out, they are hotspots for mold and mildew.

The best R-value for home insulation depends on where you live and where you’re installing the insulation. Your climate zone plays the biggest role in determining the correct R-value, so be sure to know which zone you live in when determining the R-value you need.

The life span of fiberglass insulation can be as long as 80 to 100 years, but because of changing building codes, it’s best to get your insulation checked every 10 to 15 years. Signs of degrading fiberglass insulation include bits of batts on the floor or batts detached from frames. Having optimal, healthy insulation in your home will improve its energy efficiency, lowering your monthly bills.

Expect your home insulation project to take between five and 12 hours to complete on average for batts or boards and two to five hours for spray foam or blown-in insulation. It might take longer if you need to remove your home’s existing insulation, you have a higher-than-average square footage, or accessibility is limited.
