Made a huge mess of my fireplace door that was working, just needed the insulation band replaced as it was 20 years old and never been replaced. Now we cant use it at all. They took three screws out and lost them tried to put new screws in that were not long enough and the glass was barely hanging in there because the screws were gone that belonged on it. The band was hanging out in the front of the glass and behind the glass and they took two pennies and propped in there between the glass and the bracket to hold the glass in place and left my house. I called them right back and told them that this was not going to work, the job was unprofessional and not completed. The wrong band was brought to fix it and they didnt want to have to come back so they tried to improvise. They came back only to take the pennies out saying "oh I forgot to take those out, was just leaving them in there till the glue dried". Later that evening when my boyfriend came home, he was not happy either. After the guys left after they took the pennies out, I called the Lisa at Light your Fire and she said to email her the pictures of it. So I did. She also said that she was about to be "out of pocket" that she would check her email the first thing in the morning and get back with me. My boyfriend text Kelley Byrd who was the supposed sub contractor/installer and he had nothing but cursing and threats for my boyfriend not in so many words that "he knew it was bad work, but that it was not his problem because he was just the subcontractor that it was Light Your Fire's problem" Funny, Lisa at Light Your Fire said it was Kelley Byrds problem and not theirs". We then called Lisa back again to tell her that his threats asking my boyfriend "to come to his house for a fight", by her contractor was unacceptable. She stated well, "its a he said, she said thing". She stated that Kelley said he did not lose the screws that the screws were gone which is a lie. The stove had never been worked on in 20 years, was working but just needed a new insulation band around the glass. Now its not workable, the glass is barely hanging in there, screws missing and the glass could have fallen out on one of us, or my grandchildren or worse, blown out and burned our house down. To date, 10/23/2013, we have still had no response from Lisa or Kelley, even after stopping payment on their check. To add, its always good to run a background check on the person that comes to your house, and in this case we would definitely suggest it. My boyfriends son who is 21 came in with a new band, (the right one) and fixed it and it looks professionally done. I was out of work a full day, lost $30 for a stop payment on the check and a very unhappy night. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING OR USING THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING AT ALL!!! Not even a purchase because they do not and will not stand behind their products. Kelley was 3 hours late for our repair was here for a total of 45 minutes had to come back a second time, the job still was not done right, we got cursed and threatened and disregarded. Not good. It didn't break. We could still turn it off and on but it was still a problem so I called for the repair. I first showed the repairs that I thought that I wanted. He looked at a sink plug that wouldn't seat correctly, then the dripping faucet in a downstairs bathroom and then at the three exterior faucets including one that we had tried to change out the wrong way and had damaged the copper pipe. He checked the sink stopper and stated that sometimes they just won't do what they're supposed to. He asked if we had a service agreement and we did not. He then figured what the charges would be if we excluded the two other outside faucets with a service agreement and without and gave me the numbers. Because the downstairs bathroom fix would have been another $160 I excluded that. I asked him to repair only the outside faucet on the deck because the cost of the repairs was so high. A six by six inch hole was cut out of the exterior \"stucco\" wall around the faucet. Insulation removed. The pipe was cut below the elbow, the pipe cleaned out and a new pipe with threading on the end, soldered on. The faucet which I had previously purchased was put on and the insulation and outer material replaced as best possible. As usual Ken was thorough and helpful. The work was done quickly and he was in and out in about an hour and I appreciated his evaluations and the help with the sink plug. I just thought that the charges were pretty high for a simple fixes and the time that it took.I evaluated the work as good because I wouldn't know what an excellent job would be."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/whitehouse/benjamin-franklin-plumbing-reviews-7429247.htm"},"position":8},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Kinzler Construction Services - Garland & Jones","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"TX","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Shelley A."},"reviewBody":"They did very well. At first we wanted to do the phone insulation but then we changed our mind because we didn't think it was safe to do it on our already insulated phone. I asked for a different insulation using the regular type insulation. I had to call about 3-4 times and that part of it was frustrating. They came and did the work. They gave me an estimate before they did the work but it was not an accurate estimate. I told them after they did the work that they would have to give me a more accurate estimate. They went above and beyond installing new faucet, insulating it, and even installing shut off valve. They even cleaned up the workspace completely when they were finished.

"Worst experience of dealing with a contractor. I started to build a pole barn myself several months back and realized I wasn't good at it and I needed to hire an professional, details of the job were simple fix my errors and install the metal. The so called professional I hired is /was Morgan (Owner) with MLB buildings. Morgan was one of 3 contractors that provided a bid. The projected timeframe that was given was 3 days and the payment structure was broken in to 3 payments. Within the 1st week he had already received 1st and 2nd payments with one wall of metal up and supposedly framing fixed. Going into two weeks he is having issues and just installing metal without the roof trusses being fixed as we discussed. Metal had to be removed, metal not cut correctly all costing me money. I really didn't get upset until he asked if he could leave for a week to go make extra money because he is now in the negative after being on my job 2 weeks. Reluctantly, I felt sorry for the guy , but asked a date of his return. Now that he has been paid almost all the money he has pushed me off another two weeks and now not answering my calls. The metal install was not the best and yet I was still willing to work with the guy. I will post pictures soon of 20 ft walls of metal installed with screws on top and bottom and none in the middle, garage door wood caps just thrown up not secure, gaps at corners, around windows, or anywhere there is a cut has a gap of 1" or bigger, some panels not straight. All the way around not only a bad job, but didn't even complete the bad job. The guys that were working with him would quit due to not getting paid. My question is if he is not paying his guys that worked at my job where did the money go that I paid him? Also, as a side note all materials were purchased by me and he was getting paid thousands of dollars for labor only on a 3 day job that is now a month into it with be being left with a big mess to fix. Feel free to reach out to me with any doubt and I will be more than happy to invite you to my home for you to see yourself. Location: Pickton, TX"

FAQs for insulation service projects in Hideaway, TX
When choosing a professional insulation installer, consider asking these questions to determine the best fit.
Will you address air leaks in my house?
Can you provide an R-value (heat resistance) fact sheet?
What kind of insulation will work best for my home?
How do you handle signs of a water leak?
Are you licensed and insured?
Can you provide customer references?
The best type of insulation for your home depends on what you need, so the answer will depend on your specific situation. If you’re building a house, structural panels are easy to install during the building process in addition to being the most energy efficient type. If you live in a warm climate, reflective insulation may benefit you more as it costs less than other insulation types. And for standard attics, loose-fill, spray foam, or blown-in insulation work well.
If you plan to heat or cool your garage, you’ll need to insulate the garage ceiling. Insulating your garage ceiling will make your garage much more energy efficient and save on heating and cooling costs. Not only does insulation make your garage more energy efficient, it helps reduce noise and can extend the life of your garage roof. You can use fiberglass, cellulose, mineral wool, or spray foam insulation for this project.
In some cases, you may not have enough insulation to properly regulate your home’s temperature. Watch for a few signs your home needs more insulation, such as:
High heating and cooling bills
Uncomfortable room temperatures
Ice dams on the edge of your roof
Roof leaks
Cold floors and walls
Freezing pipes
Temperature fluctuations
Visibly low insulation
Noise problems
Pest problems
On average, insulating an attic costs about $2,500, ranging from $1,500 to $3,500, depending on the insulation type, amount, and your attic’s accessibility. Additional cost factors include sealing air leaks, removal or replacement of insulation, and inspections.
Types of insulation include:
Blown-in: $1–$4 per square foot
Spray foam: $2–$5 per square foot
Batt: $2–$4 per square foot
Structural insulated panels: $4–$7 per square foot
Loose-fill: $2–$5 per square foot
Reflective: $0.50–$1.50 per square foot
