It makes the room feel cozy and it helps to dampen sound!!! My walls were 2 X 4 inch walls. They were able to do the work, within 7 days, from first coming to my home and giving a bid!!! "My 1950, 860 ft house had 20+ yr old dusty, pink insulation, that was even worse after the city revamped utility vaults & pushed rats into the neighborhood. I chose S.R Insulation to vacuum out, caulk open voids, and re-blow insulation. The owner set up an appointment quickly. On the day of service, he did call 15 minutes late to advise of an issue. The 3 person team arrived within an hour, set up the vacuum and bags, then removed insulation; original, wood-shingle slips; and ducting left by A/C techs. They worked between 3 to 4 hours and said they would return next business day. The two part installation, gave me an idea - I asked for an extension, so I could repair ceiling sheet rock while the attic was void. The owner agreed. He did not require partial payment. Three weeks later, I rescheduled. The install was even quicker, filling up to the stud height in white, blown insulation. He leaves behind a cardboard measuring stick to show you. The difference inside the house was immediate. I will not provide calculations, as I added front load washer/dryer to the electric usage at this same time. Later, I found my stove top vent fan blocked. I was able to pull out material from the duct, and the fan worked. Therefore I did not call the owner about this. I paid less than $1500, and thought it fair. I would use S.R. Insulation again and recommend them."
