"I had a pretty bag clogged main line. My shower drain was clearing way too slowly and then it started affecting my toilet and even kitchen at this point. Joseph came through within an hour of my initial call, diagnosed the issue, gave me a really good quote and got to snaking the line. He started through the outside, then inside shower drain and then got onto the roof to snake the vent pipe. He was able to take out some items but it didn’t clear the clog until he pulled out a drain bladder… clog disappeared within 2 minutes of him using it. Amazing service and will be recommending Joseph to any family and friends in the future! Saved me thousands, we were close to thinking it was a busted pipe but he fixed the issue quickly and his critical thinking saved the day!"

"These guys were great. Friendly and very honest. I had a clogged sink that I tried snaking and draino to unclog myself. No luck, so I called Blue Frog to come out the next afternoon. Right after I called them the drain unclogged and drained!! I decided to let them come out anyway to do a diagnostic. A master plumber arrived, didn't find anything, and didn't even charge me for the trip."

"The plumber did an excellent job. My only complaint is he didn't clean up well afterwards. There was grease on the cabinet, the mat was stained, and the floor dirty. These are minor and everything cleaned up."

"My existing kitchen faucet was barely putting out any water, which made it more difficult to cook and clean. I tried cleaning the head and inside the connectors, but that did not help. Finally I decided to replace the faucet and contacted Texas Eco-Plumber. They replied quickly and scheduled my appointment. Jonathan came out and replaced the faucet and did not try to sell/upsell me on anything else. My new faucet is now working great. Great experience with Texas Eco-Plumber. They are prompt and efficient. Will use them again."

Customers say: Quality work

"This company is awesome! I had my foundation repaired so I needed a plumber to come out and make sure I had no breaks in my sewer line. Tom sent Greg a very nice and professional gentlemen showed me with a camera that my lines had no breaks then cleaned out a drain line caused by A/C slug without breaking the bank like most plumbing companies. I have finally found a plumbing company for life."

"Janice was awesome! Excellent customer service, very informative, and prompt with all communication (phone, email, and even text). Chase came out to diagnose and walk me through all the options. He was great about listening to my needs and not trying to oversell me on anything. I asked about other plumbing items around the house (water filtration/softener and drain cleaning), and he showed and explained all those as well. He even drained my sprinkler system while he was there so it wouldn't freeze/break. Installation of the water heater was well done. They also had to go on the roof and attic to make sure the vent pipe was good to go."

"On Father's Day late afternoon, the copper water pipe at one of the outside hose bibs began to leak. It had been installed poorly and the copper had bent and crimped. In a panic, I started calling plumbers from Angie's List. No one answered. But within two minutes of my leaving a message on Brandon Adams' phone, he texted me and asked if he could arrive Monday at 8 AM.
The next day, Brandon arrived 15 minutes early with one helper. He explained to me how the leak could be quickly and easily fixed, and immediately began work. They shortened the pipe (which extended almost a foot from the house, causing it to bend easily) and secured it to the house. Then he inspected the main water box (at my request) to make sure the valve was adequate.
They were in and out within an hour, allowing me to be only a few minutes late to work. They cleaned up the work area.
Brandon charged only $95 for the job, which I felt was inexpensive for the amazingly fast turnaround and great service. I'm definitely keeping this guy's business card!

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Yes, frozen pipes can prevent a toilet from working correctly. If the pipes are frozen, water cannot flow, which means your toilet tank won't be able to refill after a flush. This will prevent the toilet from flushing again. Depending on which lines are frozen, the ice can also block the drain pipe, preventing water from flushing away.

As a temporary workaround, you can manually add water to the tank for each flush. To clear a frozen drain pipe, you can try filling the toilet bowl or tank with warm water and flushing to help thaw the ice. However, the best long-term solution is to unfreeze the pipes to get your toilet back in working order.

The cost to unclog a drain varies based on the location and severity of the clog. For simple clogs within your home, such as in a sink, toilet, or shower, hiring a plumber typically costs between $110 and $350, with an average of around $200. Snaking a toilet or sink usually costs between $110 and $275, while a bathtub or shower clog costs about $225.

For a more serious clog in the main sewer line, the cost is higher. Clearing a main line clog generally costs between $200 and $600, with an average of about $380. However, prices can range from as low as $100 for snaking a minor clog to over $1,600, particularly if advanced methods like video inspection and hydrojetting are needed for a large or hard-to-reach blockage. Some severe main line clogs can cost upwards of $1,000 to clear depending on factors like the cause of the clog, its distance from an accessible cleanout, and whether the pipe is located beneath an occupied space (e.g., in an apartment building). You may be able to save money on minor clogs by using a drain snake or bladder yourself.

Start by unscrewing the overflow valve, which is located on the wall of your tub between the floor drain and the tub spout. Gently insert a plumbing snake down into the pipe, move it back and forth, and pull it out. Remove any hair, debris, and soap scum that comes out with it. Repeat the process until the snake comes out clean, and then reinstall the cap on your overflow valve.

Yes, pop-up drains commonly get clogged with hair, soap scum, and toothpaste. It is important to know how to properly clean the drain or get professional help to ensure it remains clear and can drain water effectively.

With a one-way cleanout, you can access your sewer line from one direction. Depending on the way it curves, a plumber can either access the side of the pipe that goes into your home or the side that goes to your yard. On the other hand, two-way cleanouts allow pros to access both sides of the sewer line, thanks to their dual-pipe design (they’re usually U-shaped).
