When inspecting the installation, he explained to you that certain parts of the tub spout were missing and that without those pieces, the spout would not seal properly and could leak. He made clear that the spout could not be installed correctly under those conditions. Despite that, you chose to install the spout yourself. That decision, combined with the pre-cut holes made by a previous contractor before our involvement, created the gap and clearance issues you?re describing. Our technician documented this on site and explained it directly to you before leaving. The valve replacement itself was completed properly, and the issues with trim clearance and watertightness are the result of pre-existing conditions and missing parts outside of our scope of work. That means the warranty company sets the scope, pricing, and what is or isn?t covered?we can?t change those terms. Our invoice reflects only the non-covered items the warranty did not approve. Our payment terms are Due on Completion. If the invoice isn?t paid when the work is finished, it?s past due; meaning it?s late under our policy. We sent the invoice and job photos via email and text multiple times over 30+ days with no response, so a late fee was added. We don?t enjoy charging late fees, but we apply the same rules to everyone to stay fair and consistent. As a courtesy, we offered to waive the late fee if the invoice was paid by end of day?and when payment was made, we promptly removed it. We take professionalism seriously, and our technicians are expected to uphold the highest standards while representing 100% Plumbing Houston."
