"We chose AugerPros Plumbing (Mauricio was the main technician and another guy who I forgot his name showed up, sorry). They were very professional, knowledgeable and kind. They arrived on time did the work and cleaned up when they were finished. They listened to what I had to say and gave me options to run the snake or the camera. I chose the camera. (The first company that came out to my home wouldn't run the camera without doing this, that and paying a huge fee. I'm so glad I sent them on there way). AugerPros inserted the camera and we noted the camera stopped at a certain point . Mauricio (big Mo is his nickname) immediately suspected the problem was either colasp pipes or a very bad clogged inside the walls. Mo's crew started digging. (My husband and I were freaking out! We were sent to a hotel, it was obviously we wouldn't be able to stay at home). The next day we saw the crew had dug about 10 feet down and located the pipes. They started to continue digging until they were underneath the slab of my home to get to the colasp pipes. After they finished digging, big Mo and the guy I forgot name stepped in, replaced the colasp pipes and ran the snake down the sewer line. Thanks to AugerPros Plumbing, we now have our home back with flushing toilets and we also received 10% off!!! My husband and I would also like to say, thank you Angies List for your work in locating the best referrals..."

"Doss Plumbing Technicians, Rick and Jay came to reroute a pipe for my washer to drain properly, install a new toilet, and kitchen faucet. The work was great, fast, and they cleaned up after the job. I would recommend Doss Plumbing to anyone, and will have them back. I have been looking for a reliable Plumbing service to keep my 1935 Beach cottage in repair."

"Excellent job by all I worked with. My wife even commented how every one from the dig crew to plumber we are very nice. I have building experience but it was nice that the first service tech walked me through the issues and even let me view everything he was viewing. Gave me three solutions and good/bad of each. When it comes to the actual work it was done exactly as discussed. No surprises and no hidden charges. Nice to work with a service provider that does what they say, no surprises, and put my yard back to original. I will definitely use them again for my plumbing needs."

"We had a sudden sewage back up into our home. I called C&G and they responded right away. They were very respectful and helpful. Though the problem was far more extensive than originally thought, C&G completed the repairs quickly. I will not call anyone else for plumbing services. The owner is very professional and knowledgeable."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

The order of your bathroom renovation should prevent damage to the completed work. Start with demolition and removing the old fixtures. Then, address structural repairs or water damage, if needed. Next, tackle the rough-in phase for plumbing and electrical work, install waterproofing, and work on wall treatments like tile or paint. Install your shower or bathtub, toilet, vanity, and sink. Flooring goes in after major fixtures but before the toilet. Lastly, install new lighting fixtures, mirrors, and other finishing touches as desired.

The water in your toilet tank refills after each flush. So if you see dirty water in the bowl, you should check the tank to see if it’s coming from there. A dirty toilet tank can be the result of sediment in the water itself—-after all, the water will sit in the tank between flushes and can cause the interior to change into a dingy color. Faulty toilet components, like an old flapper, corroded tank lever or chain, or damaged seals, can also lead to dirty water as the materials break down inside the tank. You can clean the toilet tank or change out the old parts to give it a fresh start.

Yes, a bathroom remodel is a worthwhile home improvement project that typically adds value to your home, offering a return on investment (ROI) between 60% and 70%. Potential buyers look closely at bathrooms and kitchens, as these are often the most expensive rooms to renovate. A modern, updated bathroom is more appealing and assures buyers that the plumbing, fixtures, and flooring have a long, useful life ahead. Beyond the financial return, a remodel can also greatly increase your day-to-day satisfaction by creating a more inviting, spa-like space. Even a basic refresh with new paint and accessories can make a significant difference.

If your toilet won’t stop running, you might have a bad fill valve. This may be the case if the valve has calcium or debris buildup, is cracked, or shows visible signs of wear and tear. A bad fill valve may also be the culprit if you’ve already checked the flapper and chain and adjusted the fill height to no avail.

You can tell if your toilet fill valve is full by removing the lid and taking a look. When you flush the toilet, the float is at the bottom of the tank, the water empties, and the fill valve opens. The float rises to the top as the tank fills again with water. When the float rises to the right level, the fill valve closes; if the valve is too high, your toilet may only partially flush, requiring you to adjust the float.
