"I was totally awestruck by Mike's professionalism, knowledge and honesty. He was able to reassure me that my used computer is in tip top shape and has more memory then I even imagined. He was able to remotely get into my computer to check it out since he is in Arizona and I am in Oklahoma. Normally I would not have allowed this-but thanks to Mikes many tremendous reviews and A Grade I trusted him and do not regret it. In my opinion he deserves an A++! It's been 20 years since I have owned a desktop computer and I'm obviously not tech savvy! Mike did not take advantage of that and was even kind enough to share some info with me free of charge. I have already opened a file (in my filing account with his name on it)! I am making a list of things for him to help me with and will definitely be back in touch with him. I highly recommend Mike's company to anyone looking for an honest, reputable computer repair person."

"Quick, quality work and good people. Accurately assessed the work to be done as well as accurately assessed the time it would take. Executed the installation, tested the cables and cleaned the areas affected. I wish all the work I had done was this way."

Computer Repair questions, answered by experts

Computer service is the regular preventative maintenance to keep software and hardware up-to-date, including anti-virus and malware protection, defragmenting disk space, and removing unused and redundant programs and apps. On the other hand, computer repair addresses existing problems with software and hardware that stop working correctly.

Repairs take 2-6 hours, but extensive frame replacements may extend the timeline.

Slow performance, hardware failure, network connectivity issues, and malware infections often require repair.

Among the many skills necessary for computer repair technicians, these are some of the most important:

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Understanding how computer software and hardware work

  • Common problems with computer hardware and software

  • How to fix common computer problems

  • Interpersonal skills to work with customers

Aim for a uniform, smooth joint to ensure a good electrical connection. If it looks crusty and uneven, your iron tip might be dirty or the joint isn’t hot enough. To keep the iron tip clean, wipe the tip with a damp sponge or brass tip cleaner when you spot black spots or rust to remove any oxidation and flux residue. Tinning the tip surface with a small amount of solder offers a layer of additional protection.
