"A Best Tree service does an A+ job EVERY TIME. I have been using them for at least 15 years to keep our shrubs trimmed and trees, including 3 Huge Red Oaks and a huge Pecan pruned and in good health. Jesus always returns my calls right away and usually will come by the next day to look at the job and give me a great price. I rarely make comments in this manner, but Jesus and his men deserve the praise!"

"Extremely professional and knowledgeable about our trees. Very efficient and thorough. They trimmed several trees to enhance our property and we could not be happier with the result. Met with us prior to the job and listened to our needs and made excellent suggestions to complete the job. Cleaned the area and took away all debris. I would recommend 100%"

"Jesus Luna’s tree service was excellent! I was provided a reasonable free quote within an hour of my request for service. The team trimmed my tree, removed all trimmings and raked the area clean. I highly recommend their service to future clients in need of tree removal services."

"Excellent service and reasonable prices. Provided great advice on managing the trees in my yard so they donâ t interfere with each other. Cleaned up everything before they left. I have made an appointment with them to come back in a year to monitor progress. I highly recommend to anyone needing trees trimmed, removed, or stumps removed."

"I highly recommend Cristian Luna Tree Service! Very fast, very professional and very accommodating. I had a tree in my front yard that was a fall risk and needed to be cut down quickly. They worked within my budget and went above and beyond to get the job done within hours of agreeing on terms. They showed up and finished the job before I even knew they had arrived. They've earned my future business!"

"Mr Martinez did an amazing job. After the trees were trimmed he trimmed the hedges across the front of the house . He then took my riding lawnmower and cut and edged the whole property, which is situated on an acre of land! All at no additional cost! All the tree branches were hauled off. It is such a rarity to receive such excellent customer service. I would give him 10 stars!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

You can never truly stop a maple tree from growing taller, but you can rein in its growth by pruning. Proper pruning helps maintain a safe size for your tree without causing permanent damage. It’s important to start pruning a tree while it’s young, long before it becomes a problem. Otherwise, you may be left with too many hazardous branches to remove at once.

If you’re buying a small tree with lots of room to grow, expect to pay around $100 to $200 for a potted version. But if you’re buying a larger tree—say one over 10 feet—prices rise, starting in the $500 to $600 range and increasing quickly from there. Keep in mind that paying for professional palm tree planting or transplanting services will increase the cost.

Dead tree branches should be removed, because they can cause the tree to lose nutrients. They can also make the tree more susceptible to disease and pests. Removing dead and diseased branches can help the tree recover and increase the odds of saving a dying tree. Make sure to prune the tree correctly to avoid damaging it further.

For trimming trees, your best tool is a pair of pruning shears or loppers. Both options work best for branches that are under 3 inches in diameter. Trimming trees with a larger diameter may require a robust tool like a small chainsaw or a handsaw, so take into account your tree’s diameter when deciding between tools.

Yes, the same rules discussed above apply to your neighbor: They can trim one of your trees as long as they’re only cutting the portion that extends into their property. Your neighbor is not allowed to access your property without permission, nor can they cut past the property line.
