"Way overpriced for average work. Always trying add cost on the project by forgetting items on the original quote. Main concern was grading and leveling of a very straight forward front yard project. Yard is more unlevel now that it was before they started. Be cautious of giving the final check to them if you need to make any adjustments, you’ll never heard from them again. Unfortunately, I will probably have to hire another company to come fix the mistakes they won’t come back for. I would not recommend this company to anyone that wants good quality work done."

"I have used Southern Guys Landscaping (Joe O) for two projects. The first project was a french drain with multiple downspout captures routed into the french drain. The design concept was really neat with videos provided showing how it worked. I was impressed with the quality of the materials and the quality of the installation. I was impressed with the entire experience so I had them bid the construction of a firepit area with round limestone brick boarder, black star gravel, and CUSTOM pavers. Came out really pretty but most importantly, the construction (footers, landscape fabric, rebar ... etc) was top notch construction. They are now my go-to Guys!!!"

Aerating your lawn will loosen up compacted soil and facilitate a more even balance of nutrients from root to topsoil. Depending on the lawn treatments, the best times of the year to redo your lawn are between mid-August and mid-September for overseeding and renovation treatments. For areas such as the southern United States, lawn aeration works best during the fall, when the temperatures begin to drop. Otherwise, early spring is your next best bet because the grass is fresh and ready to absorb nutrients, and the temperature isn’t hot enough to fry the grass and the renovation materials.

First, make sure you’re watering your grass early in the morning (and keep in mind you don’t have to water every day). Doing this helps ensure the water is able to soak in before the hot temps evaporate all of the water. Also, when you mow, don’t mow your grass as short as you would in non-drought conditions. Taller grass can help slow down the rate at which soil dries out. Finally, take your leftover lawn clippings and spread them out across the lawn to give it a little extra shade and nutrients.

While dethatching first often makes the aeration process faster and easier, both actions can be done on the same day. Aeration can also loosen up the thatch, even if you have a harder time aerating the soil because the thatch got too thick. Because both dethatching and aeration have the common goal of making it easier for the soil to get water and nutrients, it’s safe and possible to do both at the same time.

Hydroseeding over an existing lawn is possible, but certain adjustments are necessary since the process is for bare soil. Hydroseed mix is ​​usually very thick, which helps protect the seeds during germination.
