"We spent 14K on two new AC units for our house in 2021. We had to get the technicians out almost every year and multiples a year because something is always wrong. Some technicians were not experienced enough to diagnose the problem and wasted hours at our house. They also made careless mistakes (not connecting the draining pipe back in the attack) in Aug 2025. We had to run very loud fans for 5 days just to dry the water leak from the attic to our ceiling. The same technician was sent out in Nov 2025 and made the same mistake again. Now our ceiling is leaking again. The customer service did not even acknowledge or apologize for what we are going through. I am now worried that repeated leak may have caused permanent damage to our house. I do not recommend this company."

It has now been several weeks since this work was completed: all of the newly installed plumbing fixtures are working well, and there are no leaks or drips. The scheduler not only got me scheduled, but took the time to speak to the operations manager about the issue on Monday and then called me back to avoid me wasting money. "We have used Bluebonnet since 2003. Over the years they have replaced 2 water heaters and handled all of our plumbing needs inside and out. The latest service was to repair a leaky toilet, replace a water filter behind our refrigerator and spot check our other toilets and both water heaters. The repairs were not totally successful on the toilet and Lee came out a second time to try one more thing before we will need to replace it entirely. If and when that happens we will not hesitate to have Bluebonnet do the installation. Lee and Frank have always done excellent work and we would recommend them for anyone's plumbing needs."

"Not sure why they had 5 stars review, but All About Water Heaters is by far the worst company I dealt with. Service tech came out, did not bring a solder, and I had to provide him with my own supply, then replaced my water circulator with a wrong sized pump. Contacted the owner, promised to come out and take care of the issue, a week went by, claimed he was not able to get the replacement pump since it was discontinued, and he needed some time to find replacement. Sent him a link to Home Depot website where he could get one, and another week later, he stopped answering phone calls, or texts. I am definitely going for a lawsuit, will keep y'all updated. Do not waste your time, look somewhere else!!"

"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. There was a deadline for installing this part before tenants arrive. They did not care, would not m"

No. Boilers and water heaters are not interchangeable because they serve different purposes. A water heater will never be able to supply warm water or steam for your central heating system. In most homes, a boiler and a water heater may be combined to provide heating and daily use of hot water. Other homes may opt for a furnace over a boiler for their heating needs.

Going from a tank to a tankless water heater is one of the most effective ways to lower your utility bills. Most hot water heater manufacturers recommend replacing the anode rod about once every three to five years. Anode rods sacrifice themselves by collecting iron, limestone, and other minerals that would otherwise corrode your hot water heater tank. This abuse wears them out long before your water heater does. Check the rod when you remove it and replace it if more than 50% of the metal has been consumed. Check the rod more frequently if you have hard water or use a water softener. 

When replacing an old unit, you might want to switch from a gas water heater to an electric water heater or vice versa. To do this, you will likely need to add infrastructure to the area. For example, you likely don’t have a gas line that served your old electric water heater. You’d have to call a plumber to put in a new gas line.
