"Painting was done in conjunction with roof and gutter replacement after a hail storm. Work was done quickly and with excellent results. Two years later, the exterior painting still looks great. The fence was stained at the same time and also still looks great. I've used this contractor since and referred him to others. He's really responsive and easy to work with."

"I couldn't be happier! NO SUBCONTRACTORS WITH THESE GUYS!!! Thomas does the quote and is there on the job the whole time. The work is neat and tidy and they use plenty of stain. Avoid using pressure washers on high, as they can damage the wood. Applying a deck sealant can protect the wood from UV and water damage, and adding shade can also reduce sunlight damage.

For homes in areas with extreme weather, high heat, or intense sun exposure, high-quality acrylic paint is the best option. Acrylic paint is durable, resistant to both heat and cold, and provides a protective barrier with excellent UV resistance. For best results, look for acrylics that contain natural earth pigments, which are better suited for resisting sun damage. While oil-based paint is also durable, it can be prone to fading in high heat and can become too viscous to apply easily in cold temperatures. Additionally, choosing a neutral or light color like gray, beige, or white can help, as these colors absorb less heat than darker shades.

You have a couple of options when choosing a durable pool deck coating. Epoxy is common and offers excellent stain and water resistance. Epoxy also withstands high temperatures and UV lighting, making it ideal for sunny spots. You can also add a coating to cement, which significantly lowers the temperature of the concrete, is environmentally safe, and makes cleanup a breeze.
