"Cesar was great to work this. Came out immediately and provided a good quote. His crew was able to come out the next day. Power washed the fence, replaced some damaged boards and rebuilt the gates. Restained everything, the fence looks great. Cesar walked through with me ensuring I was satisfied."

"Thomas did an excellent job in sanding, staining , and then three coats of sealer on our front door. He took time making sure that each stage was perfect. You don’t get this type of workmanship these days.. I have no hesitation in recommending him and will choose him whenever I have another project."

"Nice. Love the color, they power washed including the deck that needed serious cleaning. Painted 2 story house with balcony, lots of nooks and cranies and the deck. Great job covering the windows and protecting things that didn't need paint/overspray. Very happy with the results."

"They did an OK job on the paint but wanted me to do a walk through before the work was complete. There were several areas not painted and there were drips on the floors and on the toilet after they wer finished. Their payment process is the biggest problem. The only way they will let you pay is over the phone. Someone writes down your card number and then charges you later that day. Secure payment sites are so easy to set up these days, there is no reason to risk your customer's data."

Customers say: Quality work

"Sammy's Painting has done two big projects for me; last year, he repainted my office building, and made repairs to 30 yr old siding, painted the brick, stained all exterior wood doors and windows,,a perfect job. His job site was always clean, picked up and we were able to do business as usual. . They just finished painting my home,Story and a half, they restored the old , 50 year cedar siding, repaired soffits , a big project, which took two weeks, The results were great. I recommend Sammy's Painting without reservation, Samuel and his crew are professionals, courteous, and trustworthy."

"These guys kept me informed. They called when they said they would. They arrived for the job on time with everything they needed to complete the job. They were professional and friendly. They cleaned up all scraps and debris after completion. The gutter look great and worked as planned during the heavy rains that followed. Great job overall!"

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

The plastic in composite decking boards protects them enough that you do not need to paint them to prevent warping. In fact, painting composite decking voids the warranty of some manufacturers. Painting can also increase maintenance on the deck, as you must paint regularly to keep it looking its best.

Yes, pressure-treated wood can occasionally turn green due to certain preservatives, such as copper-based chemicals, used during the treatment process. These chemicals react with the wood, creating a greenish tint. The good news? It's temporary, and the color will fade over time. Staining or painting can also help hide any unwanted hues.

Whether to paint or stain a deck depends on your personal preference for appearance and budget. Stain provides a natural look with a range of undertones, is typically less expensive, and may only require one coat, but it does not last as long as paint. Paint offers a sleeker finish with a virtually unlimited color palette. Both options will protect your deck from outdoor elements like rain, snow, and general wear and tear.

Choosing the best color for your home exterior should factor in longevity as well as your personal taste. To keep your house looking newly painted as long as possible, stay away from red paint. Although red homes pop and are quintessential for country-style barns, red paint tends to fade fastest in the sun. Go with earth tones if you want paint that best resists fading.

Opt for an interior wood stain that is rated for your type of wood. Consider your personal style preferences as well as the overall use of the room when choosing a color. Remember, the color you see at the store may look different on your actual floors once applied. This is why if you have the chance, it’s helpful to test a few options on a scrap piece of wood in the room first. Once you narrow it down, you can test a small patch on an inconspicuous area in the room to see it on the actual floors.
