"**Goldstar Painting exceeded my expectations!** They repaired and repainted over half of my home and did an absolutely amazing job. The team was professional, prompt, and delivered top-notch service from start to finish. My home now looks updated, modern, and beautiful! Huge thanks to Augustine, Andre, and the entire crew — I couldn’t be happier with the results! Highly recommend."

"I highly recommend Moses. From the beginning I felt he understood my vision. He was patient with us on timing and the guys worked hard to finish before our house warming party. They painted our white cabinets black and added gold hardware, painted our mantle and two bedrooms. We will use them again in the future for sure."

"Saul was excellent! Second time Iâ ve used these guys. This time was for a fiberglass front door that they gel stained and sealed with a finish poly. Made three visits, showed up at the exact time they said, worked till they got done with that step, and cleaned up their supplies. We were very pleased with the outcome. Recommend for any painting needs!"

Painting questions, answered by experts

You shouldn't paint a metal fence. Painting doesn't necessarily damage a corrugated metal fence, but these types of fences are meant to flex, and paint can easily chip and break off. Latex paints can address this issue, but those tend not to be very weather-resistant. Certain paints can trap moisture in the corrugation, which can rust the metal and lead to corrosion. And finally, if you paint a copper fence, it won't patina, which is one of the main reasons people buy copper.

Maintain your wattle fence by inspecting it at least twice per year for loose weaving and degrading branches. Replace any seriously degraded sections, ensure water drains properly around the posts, and trim any sprouting branches if you used green wood. If you notice the weave loosening, you can often tighten it by gently pushing down on the top branches. You can also apply a natural wood preservative every two to three years to extend the fence's lifespan.

A properly applied coat of stain will last between 3 and 8 years, depending on your climate. If you live in a place where your fence experiences a lot of moisture or high heat, your stain will last for a shorter period than in more temperate conditions. We recommend reapplying stain every 3 to 5 years to keep your wood in good condition.

Paint your fence, install customized fence slats, or attach a bamboo screen for a more appealing yard aesthetic. Paint can give your yard a unique and fun look, and adding fence slats gives you a classic fence appearance. Bamboo screens are probably the most unique option that can add a fun vibe to your space.

Choose based on climate, finish preference (glossy, matte), and durability. Tailored coatings also provide longevity.
