"Jeremy knows pest control and how to deal with unwanted guest in the attic. He was very professional. The two areas on a steep two story home were patched and the attic baited with great success. He plans in a third recovery trip to make sure the job is done. I definitely would use him again for any exterminating needs and recommend him highly to others."

"Nolan Wildlife did a great job removing the roof rats from our attic. They were professional and explained the process very well. They sealed up our home to prevent further intrusions and cleaned up all the rat droppings and sanitized the crawlspace for us. We are so grateful for their expertise. Highly recommend."

"Very knowledgeable guy who seem to know what he’s doing. Don’t know results of spraying. Have had much rain since. Will have to see if it worked. Terminex will spray again the beginning of next month."

"These guys are awesome. Very friendly staff, and they even responded when I called at 2 a.m. because a bird was flying around in my home. Scheduling was prompt for the work done in my home; they showed me pictures of places in my roof vent where the bats were entering and installed a ridge guard to keep all critters out! I am so happy to have my peace of mind back! Thank you, Nolan!"

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

It is possible, though unlikely, that a home insurance policy will help cover the costs of professional bat removal. However, some policies will chip in for guano removal and associated repairs, such as replacing drywall. Take some time to read the fine print of your homeowner’s insurance policy and call your provider to inquire about bat removal, guano removal, and related repairs.

Birds are often averse to certain strong scents. For instance, the odor of predator urine, such as that from foxes or hawks, can deter them. Similarly, birds may dislike the pungent aromas of garlic, onions, and chili peppers. Essential oils like peppermint, eucalyptus, and citrus can also be effective in keeping birds away. However, it's important to note that individual bird species might react differently to these scents, so it might require some experimentation to find the most effective repellent for your specific situation.

Numerous predators kill hornets, including frogs, birds, lizards, bats, spiders, and hedgehogs. Some larger predators, including rats, skunks, and racoons, will occasionally attack a hornet nest in order to eat the larvae inside. These natural predators typically don’t eat enough hornets to make them an effective form of hornet control.

In most cases, a mother bird will return to a disturbed nest after the disturbance has passed. However, it can be hard for a mother bird to find a relocated nest. So, while it’s false that a mother bird will abandon her nest if it’s been disturbed, it’s not a good idea to relocate a nest with live babies or eggs in it.

Woodpeckers usually feed on homes when there is a food source present, and termites are one possible source. However, the presence of woodpeckers doesn’t necessarily mean there are termites. They may also be feeding on more harmless insects like ants or spiders. If woodpeckers seem drawn to one particular part of your home’s siding, it might be worth hiring a termite inspector to check for the presence of these pesky critters.
