Mr. Stewart demonstrated a startling lack of skill and competence throughout. From the start, he admitted to lying about his ability to do the work, leading to numerous blunders: Incorrect Paint: Used the wrong type in several areas, needing extensive correction. Drywall Errors: Applied excessive mud, causing cracking. Unnecessary Work: Filled holes I didn’t request and didn’t paint over them. Poor Preparation: Neglected taping, causing splatters and spilled stains on my stairs. Tool Incompetence: Struggled with a circular saw, cutting carpet and trim incorrectly. General Negligence: He unplugged my freezer, causing the loss of 50 lbs of food. Missed Deadlines: Worked slowly, missing deadlines and causing significant losses. Painting or plastering over water-damaged wall plaster is only a temporary fix and doesn’t fix the real problem. If you must, wait until the surface is completely dry before applying a new layer.
