Ethan White from Steve Huff Plumbing came to our house today (11-21-2023) to repair a clogged kitchen sink. He was very personable and professional. We called for a repair the day before and he arrived on time today. He explained the repair/replacement process thoroughly and did an excellent job. We highly recommend Ethan and Steve Huff Plumbing.

Steve Huff Plumbing came (June 30, 2023) to our house to fix a leak around the base of a toilet. I thought this would be straightforward and relativity easy for a plumbing outfit. The driver was very courteous and knowledgeable, but seemed to be more interested in finding other areas to repair/sell. Was pushing pressure regulator installation. $1626.97. which we had gotten along fine without for over 50 years. The toilet pull and reset w/flange repair was quoted at $561.11 (ouch). If you call them this is some of the things, you can expect. I am in my 80"s, slow but steady. I was able to repair the toilet the next morning myself in about two hours for a total of less than $4"s. I used an anchor bolt that I found in my toolbox, to replace the one that was broken. I was out the $89 for the service call that Steve Huff charges. I expected a little more from them, price wise, and getting my toilet repaired. Therefor I can only award one star.

Far too expensive. I am at fault for not doing my due diligence in getting the required three or more estimates.

Let me preface this review with the fact the work was done at my grandmother's house and an estimate was given and the final price was true to that estimate. They could have walked away and found a different plumber. The following were the charges: Fill valve and flapper $204.74 -(est $25 for hardware from Lowe's) this is not installing a whole new toilet. This is just replacing the hardware inside the tank Commode emergency shut off valve and supply line $187.22 -1 valve and a supply line (est $20 for hardware from Lowe's) Lavatory emergency shut off and supply lines $314.82 (est $40 for hardware from Lowe's) -These were the two lines going to the faucet that she supplied Client supplied faucet sink $279.32 -This is literally 2 bolts and connecting the drain plug. (10 minutes of labor for a novice). $79 service fee All told they were there for a little over an hour start to finish. At the end of the day, this company took advantage of an older woman who wasn't savvy about what things should cost. I have no problem paying a plumber a premium. They have a business to run. But there is no justifiable reason they should charge this much other than they were able to get away with it. I called and spoke with a manager, Billy, who started off nice enough until I asked him to justify charging almost $600 for installing a faucet that had already been purchased. At that point he informed me that they were in business to make money and they had to pay for background checks and preemployment drug testing. I estimate that even paying a premium, they overcharged by roughly $400. I wonder how many employee drug tests and background checks that covers?

Jimmy Jackson of S Huff Plumbing showed up to help me out of an emergency situation with all my plumbing to the city sewer clogged. Jimmy worked tirelessly from the moment he arrived until he found the solution to my problem. He removed one toilet and finally found a way to snake through to the problem. I may have my plumbing to the sewer changed soon and toilets replaced as there are issues with sharp turns and contractor grade toilets. Jimmy also repaired my garbage disposal during his visit and left me a tool to make adjustments to it in the future. Steve Huff Plumbing deserved every penny of the bill and I was very happy with the results. I would highly recommend the company as well as the technician Jimmy Jackson.

When I called for services the office personnel was very friendly and helpful and my service was scheduled quickly. The repairman was professional and seemed thoroughly knowledgeable and conscientious. We had some concern that the old drain in the tub could not be removed easily but the repairman was able to get the drain out and replaced. I will be using them again in the future for any plumbing needs.

They told me I needed an indoor shutoff and quoted me $400 to put that in and bypass the softener. I declined but had to pay $39 service fee. The next plumber showed me that I had an indoor shutoff AND a shutoff to the leaking pipe! He didn't charge us anything.

GREAT! They replaced a washer and all was fixed. Only charged us for a service fee. ANother plumber ( recommended on Angie's List) had been here earlier in the week. He said he did not have the parts to repair and would have to replace the unit and the cutoff valve inside at a cost of $525.00. We chose not to use him, but he charged a $100.00 fee for coming out and looking. I would NEVER use that group again. I will be hesitant to use Angie's List again after this experience.

The clog was removed, so the service was rendered. But you better bring a big wallet if you use these guys - to get about 75 feet of snaking to remove just some foreign material (no roots or collapsed pipe, nothing like that) and 100 feet of video inspection cost me $720, and that was with my veteran discount. The techs were nice enough guys but there for not quite 2 hours. Service was rendered but IMO the prices are obscene. I can't say I wouldn't use them again, because something might come up, but at those kind of prices I will have to find another firm that can be used because spending that kind of money to clear a clog will make you go broke.

My call was immediately answered by a polite and pleasant person in the office. She scheduled someone to come to my house the following day. The plumber arrived the next day as promised. He was professional and polite. He explained cost of the service call before starting work. After assessing the work needed, he explained the cost to complete. The hydrant was removed as I requested which eliminated the leak.

The customer service was great from the beginning; I had to be at work all day, so I asked the lady that was scheduling the appointment if I could get a phone call prior to the plumber arriving so I would have time to come home to meet him. I received the phone call in advance and was able to arrive home in plenty of time. This prevented me from having to take a day off work, which I deeply appreciated. Dave was the technician that came out; very nice and polite, and professional. He tested every aspect of my water heater; both of the thermostats had gone bad due to normal wear and tear. After explaining all of my options and getting price quotes for me, I made the decision to go ahead and have the thermostats replaced. He had the parts already on his truck, and had them installed in no time. The water heater is working fantastic now - plenty of hot water! I highly recommend Steve Huff Plumbing, and I was very impressed with everything today. A+++++

Our main sewer line clogged on Sunday morning.  I called and left a message for another plumber that made emergency calls, but my call was not returned. About 12:30 I called Steve Huff plumbing and got the answering service.  I told them my problem and they told me they would have the emergency tech contact me.  Fifteen minutes later, a lady call and told me it would be $159 for the service call since it was an emergency, and that they would try to get to us that day.  She explained they had several other emergencies ahead of us, but said they would give me a call in 2-3 hours to let me know how things were going.  Five hours later, I hadn't heard anything, so I called her back.  She told me they were just finishing up, and would be here between 5:30 and 5:45.  They showed up at 5:45.
The 2 young men were friendly, courteous, and professional.  They provided a quote based on what needed to be done.  WOW!!  $59 to show up, $100 because it was Sunday, and then $456 to clean the main sewer line.Total quoted was $615.  After I recovered from the shock, I checked with the wife, and decided to go ahead, since at that point, we really had no choice.
They pulled out the snake and had the line cleared in less than 30 minutes.
Once they arrived, they got the problem solved in a timely fashion, but $456 to clear the line is very, very high.  Would I recommend Steve Huff Plumbing to my friends?  Only my wealthy friends.   Yes, they get the job done, and they do a good job, but their prices are very high.  If you are prepared for that, then by all means, give them a call.

My 3 year old flushed a spray bottle down the toilet and I couldn't push it out. I also found to leaky valves, one to an upstairs toilet and one to a dishwasher. Steve Huff plumbing was able to come out right away. They fixed all three issues within a few hours. I have used them on several occasions and they always do a great job. They get it right the first time; every time. One time I called them about a leak in my crawl space. They came out, inspected the pipes and found nothing. They could have "found" something else and charged me for work I didn't need. They were professional enough not to do that. Steve Huff is pricey but well worth it. They have earned my business and will keep it. I highly recommend them.
