If done right, wainscoting can make a small bathroom look bigger, but it has more to do with the color choices than the wainscoting itself. If you keep it light and paint the wainscoting the same color as the wall, it can add depth to the design while making the room feel open. Another option is to add wallpaper with a large design on the walls above the wainscoting.

The number of shower niches you need (or want) depends on the size of the shower and how many bathroom products you plan on storing. If you keep it simple with just soap and shampoo, the one shower niche will probably do the trick. But if you’re adding scrubs and soaks, you may need to think about installing two or more.

In some situations, you may be able to try an alternative to repiping your bathroom. If you’re dealing with substantial clogs, for instance, you may be able to have a plumber come out and clear the clog. But if you’ve tried other repairs and are still dealing with issues, you can opt for epoxy pipe lining as an alternative to repiping. This method coats the inside of the pipe with an epoxy to seal holes or cracks.
