Arrival time was a little late but OK.  In the end when I looked at the receipt the hourly rate was higher than I first understood that it would be.  I was charged a service fee of $30, which I was told was a one-time fee, that I had not been advised of prior to the work being done.  As to the ceiling fan installed in the kitchen, the fan motor housing is not flush with the ceiling.  When I asked about that I was told, "yeah, the box to hold the fan motor housing in the ceiling was a little low."  That could have been handled easily, but he never mentioned it while he was installing, and of course he did not fix it.  I should have been advised of that instead of just installing the fan motor housing knowing that it would not be flush to the ceiling only for me to find that out after the fact.

Terry was very punctual and professional. He did a great job with laying down ceramic tile in our kitchen, master bath and guest bath. He was efficient with his time and actually accomplished more than he at first said he would. We were very pleased with the quality of his work. We would hire him again.

Terry Todd has not yet completed our bathroom and kitchen remodels, but we've now been working with him and his crew for about a week on a to the studs bathroom remodel, as well as a kitchen remodel. Even during our free estimate I was impressed with Terry--he had lots of ideas and gave us realistic numbers in terms of cost for a to the studs bathroom remodel. His honest up-front estimates helped us plan better for our remodel budget.
The first day on the job, we were so impressed with how clean and thorough Terry and his crew were--they had laid down hay so their truck wouldn't tear up our back yard, they swept up every bit of dust, concrete, and plaster from an extremely messy demo job, and laid down rubber mats and paper to protect our floors. I've seen many a demo job, and have seen horror stories of constantly messy job sites where cigarette butts, litter, and tools are scattered. I can't tell you how much we appreciated the attention to cleanliness and organization.
As the remodel has continued, we've hit a few bumps along the way because of poor remodeling (or "remuddling") choices on the part of previous owners. Terry calls me at work for a daily check in and we talk through all of the new issues and costs. Being included on the conversation has been invaluable and so important. Terry also constantly reminds us that the process should be fun and not stressful, and goes out of his way to make it so. He is a kind and well-spoken person--easy to communicate with and understand.
The icing on the cake is that even though Terry is working on the bath and kitchen, he's offered to tackle some small projects, like fixing our dragging door, and putting in new locks. Terry can truly tackle anything, and it's a pleasure to have him on the job.
I will report back when the jobs are done, but so far, we couldn't be more satisfied with his work.

Went very well.  Was on time and did the job in less that the estimated time and less that the estimated cost.  Have plans for him to redo the tile in my bathroom next.  Very nice gentleman and does great work.

I called Terry and he was able to come out the next day to look at the project. He showed right on time and and advised that this was exactly the type of project he liked to work on. He explained that he worked on an hourly basis and gave me an estimate of the total hours he thought it would take. This figure multiplied by his hourly rate was in line with the total prices I was quoted by other contractors. I was very impressed with his knowledge and he had some good suggestions as well. He was able to start about a week later. Both Terry and his assistant Tim were very professional and punctual. They cleaned up after themselves every day. They did not waste any time and were always working. Their quality of work was excellent and Terry treated the project as if it was his own house.

The entire project went extremely well! I have had several bad experiences with contractors and will say Terry and his helper were the finest people I have had the pleasure of doing business with! If you are looking for the lowest price Terry is not the man but if you are looking for the highest quality at a fair price give him a call. Everything was very upfront and options were always provided in all aspects of the job. Terry is extremely professional, prompt and does exactly what he says.

Terry is very professional, courteous, punctual, and his price for his work is exceptional. His cost was far less than all of the other individual quotes that i received for the same services. He showed up on time. He was respectful of my home. He listened to what i was asking for, and gave me options to choose from. He always gave his opinion about each option, and let me choose which one i wanted to do. He did not push for me to spend more money as most contractors will, in fact, he tried to do everything as cost-effective as possible. I did choose to go a more expensive route on one decision, and he was happy either way, whatever decision i made. His work is exceptional. He ran electrical to my stove, because it was set up for gas, and i did not want a gas stove. I had a shower that had been gutted down to the wall studs, and he removed old boards from the previous shower setup that had been water damaged. He replaced the wall studs, and then tiled the entire shower -- the shower floor, walls, and ceiling.  He replaced my bathroom sinks, and faucets. He also installed 2 toilets. He also installed a shower ledge in the bathroom, because the existing ledge was wooden, and was getting water damaged. He even gave me the ledge, because he had it already.   I had a window with busted out glass, and he took the window out, had the glass replaced for me, brought it back, and installed it again. He also purchased materials that I didn't have, and provided me the receipts for the materials. He only charged me what he paid for those materials. Regarding labor, he has a helper, and the price is $50 an hour. They work fast, and i know that it was well worth the money. I had multiple quotes for the individual things that i needed done, and some were double what i paid. I don't think i could have found a better price, regardless of how many quotes i had, but i did obtain several for each thing i needed done, but none could beat terry's price. since i know the quality of his work is great, and he is honest, and hard-working, i will hire him again. I will refer him to my friends, family and co-workers if they ever need some work done around their home. I am very happy with my experience, and thankful that i found him.

I had some blinds and Terry purchased the remainder.  All materials cost $251 (all receipts were attached) and labor was 6 hrs. @ $37/hour for Terry and his assistant. Terry charges by the hour therefore no lowball estimates and bad surprises.  He and his assistant work constantly and consciously. No time is ever wasted and they always leave the work area spotless!

They were always on time and here when they said they would be.  We found them to be very helpful and professional.  Because we lived in the house while the work was being done, they made sure that we always had power and water every night.  Mr. Todd takes pride in his workmanship and it shows in the finished product.  He says that most people want things done good, fast and cheap but that you can only have two of those.  He listens and tries to do what you want but if it isn't feasible he will explain to you why it won't work and what your alternatives are.  He thinks projects through from the beginning so that you don't have to re-do things because they were not done in the proper order.  We have been very happy with our re-modeled home and we believe that the $75,000 that we spent for materials and labor added at least $125,000 of equity to our home.  In a perfect world we will not need to re-model again.  But if we do, I would want Terry Todd to be the man in charge.

WARNING: Terry Todd is ADDICTIVE! His cheerful, professional manner and extremely high quality work will have you coming back for more projects. Throw out your clock because Terry arrives exactly on time EVERY time. It started with "rescuing" me from what could have been a disaster with my FORMER plumber who, mercifully, never started the work but overcharged me on some of the materials for the bathroom project while delaying me for months with every excuse he could muster (see below about Underbidding). Terry did a wonderful job on the bathroom and before you know it, I was inspired to have more things done because of the pleasant experience unlike with most service providers. Terry and his assistant, Tim not only do high quality work, but they THOROUGHLY clean up after themselves each day. They always try to inconvenience their customers as little as possible. They manage to move things around, so that you have maximum use of your space while a job is being done. I was so minimally inconvenienced it was a real pleasure to simply enjoy the progress without any of the "pain". BY THE HOUR: NO OVER or UNDER-BIDDING: Terry charges by the hour. Unlike so many other contractors who may underbid (low-ball) their estimates then find themselves cutting corners to save their time or avoiding the job altogether, Terry charges a reasonable per hour fee for him and for his assistant. They waste NO time and ask for nothing (bringing their own drinks, sandwiches, and even a radio). They are not "cheap" but they are reasonable -- and with remodeling, as Terry says, "Cheap is always more expensive in the long run." Terry keeps his customers in the loop at all times, cooperatively solving any challenges that may crop up. There were several problems with non-standard sink fittings, window sizes, unexpected needs or expenses, etc.- and each time he proposed 1 or more solutions giving me the final say on what was to be done. Terry purchased all the materials and provided receipts for everything - I didn't have to lay out a penny in ADVANCE as so many others have you do. He invoices once a week, detailing the labor hours and the materials purchases with attached receipts. He was recommended to me by a friend who also recommended him to her neighbors who had him doing jobs all around their neighborhood. Believe me, you can't go wrong with Terry Todd!
