Due to the pandemic some things were a week or two slower but once they started their projects it was well done. The windows were put in with a craftsman's quality and they improved our home. The roofer and gutter teams did an excellent job and we no longer have the leak or the rain water running down our exterior walls from the roof. There were two windows that needed to be frosted that didn't come at the installation time but later were brought by the owner of the company. All in all we are well pleased.

He came to our home to measure the project and price the job in fall 2018.. We signed a contract and paid the deposit . He cashed that check within 24 hours. He did not show up to do the work. After many calls and his lies that he would show up, we ended up in small claims court in August 2019.. Judgement was placed against him. We have chased that money and still have not been paid. In March 2020, we placed a personal lien against his home. Do not do business with this man or company. Do not pay him anything upfront.

There were 2 crews that came out; one for the roof and one for the gutters. All the workers were great and did quality work. We are very happy with the jobs . The only complaint was that due to weather conditions, it took much longer than we expected to get the two jobs done. However, we recognize that is not the companies fault, which is why we still gave an “A” rating.

This company is terrible! If no stars were an option I would've picked that. Earlier this year I decided to have my roof replaced. I discovered weather tamer at a booth at a home show. I made an appointment at the home show for a free quote. Steve Webb came to our home and gave us a quote of $9350 to repair the roof and fix some siding over the roof of my front porch. The siding had been damaged by squirrels. We agreed to the quote(which included the siding repair) and set a date for the roof and siding work to begin. The roof repair went smoothly and was done in one day, but the siding had not been repaired. Also another piece of siding was damaged when a roof nail pierced it. I waited patiently as Steve promised me that a contractor would be out soon to repair all the damaged siding. About a week later the contractor did show up but had ordered the wrong siding. The contractor asked if he could take a piece of the damaged siding to ensure he got a correct match. He told me he would be back in a few days to fix everything. I told him it was fine to take the piece of siding even though it exposed the wood frame of my house. I assumed he would be back in a few days like he told me he would. A week passes and still the siding repairman is a no show. I call Steve and he assures me that it will be taken care of within the week. This back and forth continues for 6 more weeks. All the while, the roof of my porch is exposed. Then one day while I'm unavailable the repairman comes to my home, puts the damaged(now discolored) piece off siding back up and leaves. I call Steve again to complain and he promises me to have someone out to do the repair within 2 days. I respond by telling him that will be fine, but I have been very patient and if it can't get done within 2 days he and I will need to discuss a refund to me for the cost of the repair. His response was "I can tell you this there will be NO refund" He then proceeds to tell me that the holes in my siding aren't causing me any problems and I should just go put tape over them. I respond by telling him they are a problem and he made a commitment to fix them and I expect that commitment to be honored. I also have already paid him for these repairs even though they haven't been done. I continue to press that if they repairs aren't done then I want a refund. He screams "there will be no refunds". I reply "then I guess you'll be getting a call from my attorney". He screams "do whatever in the **** you have to do" and hangs up. I have not heard from him since and the repairs remain undone. I am deeply disappointed by experience with this company.

*Signed contract on 12/29/17 for removal of old deck and construction of new screened-in deck on a cabin designated for short-term rentals. *Verbal agreement for work to be done within two weeks in January 2018 so blocked off time before rentals began. *Old deck was removed and then construction of new deck was post-poned repeatedly. *On 3/2/18—a family member took pictures of work site left with unsafe piles of rubble. Pictures were sent to Mr. Webb who then proceeded to curse at my wife on the phone when she insisted that the work area be cleaned up telling her that he won’t have her complaining just because “I spent a couple bucks”. Photo Exhibits 26-28 *Inquired as to status of job on 3/9/18 and was told it would be finished 3/14/18. *Contacted by Mr. Webb on 3/19/18 indicating he wanted paid and was told to send us a bill. *Told Mr. Webb on 3/28/18 that we had decided to personally inspect job before paying because of the delays and the way we were treated. *Mr. Webb met us on 3/30/18. Showed him the construction flaws (including scratched panels covered with spray-paint; gap between posts and siding; glass all over the ground; stringer was 2 inches short; door was not hung properly causing it to stick; 6 x 6 post had 2 x 16-inch splinter; trim only had one screw holding it fast) and he made punch list. Photo Exhibits 1-14 Mr. Webb said his grandson would come pick up glass that day and he did not show. Mr. Webb also said his worker would be there Saturday to work—he showed up and looked at items but did not work that day. *Later contacted on 4/10/18 that items were taken care of. Worker sent pictures taken from a distance which appeared acceptable. Photo Exhibits 21-25 *Neighbors viewed work on 4/13/18 and informed us that panels were still scratched and expandable foam was poorly applied. Mr. Webb was contacted. *Mr. Webb called 6 times on 4/16/18 cursing and complaining that he wanted paid. Employee of our business heard the cursing during two of the three of the calls in which it occurred. *Mailed check for $8000.00 of remaining $12,000.00 balance on 4/17/18. *Received photos from neighbors on 4/18/18 showing panels and explaining some heat expansion issues. Information was forwarded to Mr. Webb. Photo Exhibits 15-20 *Between 4/19/18-4/23/18--Mr. Webb made repeated phone calls and text messages wanting neighbors to meet him there to show him the issues. We informed him we were not subjecting the neighbors to his behavior. Also, questioned several times about when check was mailed and to what address it was mailed. *Mr. Webb told us to take $500.00 off the price and finish the job ourselves in a text message on 4/22/18. We refused this offer *On 4/25/18 (a day we had a guest coming in and had told Mr. Webb not to work) His employee again replaced 3 panels and “fixed steps”. This time the right stringer is to long Photo Exhibits 29 *4/27/18 Mr. Webb called asking for final payment could not understand steps were still not right. He did not go to the location after they were worked on again. We finally gave up sent him the final payment of $4000.00 on 4/28/18.

I had ALL the windows in my house replace as well as my patio/French door.  It was a big order.
First of all he promised the windows would be here in 8-12 weeks.  It actually took more like 6 or more months!  I called and called to check on the delivery ( he never called me) finally when he decided he would install mine his reply when I called was , yeah! when can we install?  the windows are waiting!.  ... as if he had been waiting on me!!
He's a good talker &  appears to be a sincere person.  That's what makes him a good salesman
Once I signed the contract and paid the 50% down it seemed his interest was not in servicing those whom he had a signed contract with and had already collected half the cost.
Finally ,months and months and months later,  the windows got installed.  Some months later I walked close to one of the upstairs windows (out of the way area) and it was like stepping into a swimming pool!  I grabbed my shampooer and sucked up all the water I could and called him right away.
P.S....about 8 MONTHS and a multitude of calls later they finally came back to check.
Steve said one of the installers drove by and said the flooding was due to my gutters.  I explained that was not the case as the gutters were well below the area that was flooded PLUS they are bent out toward the yard, not toward the house.
Another few weeks passed and numerous phone calls from me  before they actually came back.
By that time I had discovered (and photographed/documented) the areas where the caulking was incomplete.  It was at the bottom of the "riser" so all the rain was funneling straight into my house!  I have damage to my dining room ceiling because of this! There may be more damage that I can't see but I don't know.
One of the installers came with him and re-caulked all the upstairs windows.
While Steve was here I also told him about the cranks on the garden window ($1,700) don't work. It's the lock that's bad on both sides.  you have to have super strength or pound it up and down to be able to open the windows.  the installer opened the windows and tried the locks with no "load" on them and they both agreed that they were defective and need to be replaced. Steve said he'd speak with the factory and have them contact me directly.  Now it's OVER A YEAR LATER  and still the same problem - unchanged, I have  NEVER had a call from the factory or Steve, his wife/partner or anyone else.  I was calling his "office" once every week or two about this issue.  At first his wife would answer and say she'd tell him.  But I never got a return call - EVER!
STILL - NO CALL!  I have called and called and NOW THEY DON'T EVEN ANSWER MY CALLS AND NEVER RETURN MY CALLS.

One of the problems seems to be they are a husband and wife company have no employees.  His guys/installers  are in fact independent contractors (at least they were at the time my windows were installed).  This means he has no control over when they work, where they work, etc. As independent contractors they are in total control of their schedule.  I will say these installers were very pleasant guys.   Steve never came to check the work or do any kind of Quality Control once they were installed except the one time I already spoke of because of the flooding.
When he did promise to come I would always have to call the day before (I have to miss work to be here) or the day of the appointment to see if they were still coming.   They usually weren't and Steve would make numerous excuses of why they weren't coming.  On two different occasions when I called to see if they were coming he said they were all gone to a funeral

I would say out of 10 actual appointments I made with him he had 9 excuses and NEVER ONCE had the decency much less the courtesy or professionalism to CALL ME!
If anyone is thinking of using this contractor I would say RUN!!!!! RUN and keep on running.
I could have gotten windows of similar quality and at least this kind of service for $189 a window instead of the $350 he charged!  Probably better service!  couldn't  be much worse!

I WOULD NEVER USE THIS GUY AGAIN AND I TELL EVERYONE I CAN TO NEVER USE THIS GUY.
HE PROMISES QUALITY SERVICE AND WARRANTY BUT DOES NOT DELIVER.

Do not use this company if you require a warranty.
I received a letter from a Weather Tamer rep. The rep asked me "why now after so many years". Well, the work was done in 2006 and my contract implicitly states their work is guaranteed for life. They are hiding out under a P.O. Box address in Cleveland and I now see why. There are many complaints about this company over the internet in various blogs. I found no mention of praise whatsoever. Seems like many are having a problem with their "lifetime warranty" just as I am. I am strongly considering going to small claims court and asking for the assumed value of my "lifetime warranty" as its useless to try and get them to repair anything that has broke after only 7 years. I knew it was too good to be true. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK.

Steve Webb, the owner/operator, came out to give me an estimate for replacing windows in my home.  I informed him that I was just in the estimate stage and probably wouldn't have the work done until after the first of the year.  That wasn't a problem with Steve at all.  He inspected my windows and sat down and gave a demonstration of the efficiency of the windows they offered.  Took the time to explain all aspects of the job to be done.  I was very pleased with his professionalism and the time he took with me.  He gave me the best price of all the companies I got estimates from.  After the first of the year, I'll probably be going ahead with this company, as they gave me the best price.  I also like the fact that they are family owned and operated since 1961.  For this industry, that speaks well that they've been in business for such a long time.  They must be doing something right!

The initial estimate was rather informal and the salesman and owner, Steve, was somewhat sloppy and lacked professionalism. The contract stated that the windows were to be delivered and installed with in a 6-8 week window, that included the manufacturing of the custom windows. Steve never called, nor did any other company reps. On the 10th week we called Steve and he gave us assurances that they would be in in 5 business days. Once again they did not arrive and we received no notice of delays. Finally after threatening to bring in a legal expert to view the contract and advise us, the windows were delivered and installed. Unfortunately they had not been inspected prior to home delivery and on was cracked and another was missing the window grilles. This was on week 15, 22 weeks later our replacements have yet to arrive.
