Firehouse Chimney aka Seymour Chimney Cleaning was started in 1983 by my father and brother, Al and Mark Leitch, Dad saw a need for a local sweep due to the high number of chimney fires in the community. Al is a 30 year veteran with the local fire department. Now I (Kent, Al's youngest son) have managed and operated the company since 2000. I work full time at the City of Knoxville Fire Dept and attend church at Calvary Chapel Church. Our first priority is safety, 2nd is affordability. We treat people like we would want our grandparents treated, with kindness and respect. The customer is right. We always appreciate any feedback, whether good or bad, it helps us improve and grow. We are a debt free company that is family owned and operated with help from selected firefighters and paramedics. We offer free inspections in the Seymour / south Knox area. "Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. The effect a gas fireplace has on your gas bill will depend on how often you use it, the size of the rooms you’re heating with it, and the BTUs of the fireplace itself, but generally speaking, it should only cost a few cents an hour to run it when it’s on. It will consume minimal energy when it’s “off” if you have a pilot light running constantly, but some modern gas fireplaces don’t require a constant pilot light.

In some ways, yes, and in some ways, no. As for how they’re the same, propane and gas both burn via the same process, combustion, and at the same temperature, around 3,600 degrees Fahrenheit. The difference is that propane produces more heat per unit than gas. One cubic foot of propane contains 2,516 BTU, while one cubic foot of gas contains 1,030 BTU.

You can maneuver your gas grill into place, but you cannot connect the grill to your gas source yourself. All municipalities mandate that a certified plumber carry out this work, so you’ll have to reach out to a plumber or a gas grill installation company in your area. Given how dangerous a gas leak can be, gas lines and connections are highly regulated, so you’ll need a professional’s help and a permit to install a gas grill.

While some building codes allow galvanized pipe for natural gas, it shouldn’t be used for propane. Propane can cause the pipe to wear down, leading to dangerous leaks. Instead of galvanized piping for propane, you should consider coated copper, black iron, or corrugated stainless steel tubing (CSST). For underground propane line installation, you can use polyethylene (PE).

Having the right size pipe ensures proper drainage and helps protect against clogs and other plumbing problems. A pipe that's too small will take longer to drain, which can result in backups. And solids can build up in pipes that are too large. Choosing a pipe with the appropriate volume also means it will be able to handle water pressure, which is the force behind the water.
