"I have been very pleased with Stump Solutions. I had multiple trees cut down by another company but they never came back to remove the stumps like they were hired to do. I felt in a bind but Stump Solutions was able to work us in and got all the stumps cleared quickly. He was very friendly and professional, we would definitely use them again."

"Freddy was so very kind and professional I told him that I wanted a certain tree cut down and he instead offered to just cut the more rotten limbs and shape up the rest So I agreed and the tree turned out so beautifully I’m so glad I took his advice I will definitely have him come back again and do some more tree work for me Additionally his office kept in touch with me from start to finish to make sure everything was going to my satisfaction Thanks so much! "I contacted Demetree based on a recommendation from Nextdoor. I have three stands (3 trees per stand) of River Birch that had totally taken over. Couldn’t even get grass to grow due to the way the shade spread. Demetrio and his crew showed up when they promised, worked quickly and safely, and trimmed the trees perfectly. They removed branches and a couple of the smaller trees that were dumping leaves onto the house. They kept me up to date and involved, and they made sure that I understood what they were doing an why. They also made sure that I was good with all removals. They cleaned up perfectly and did a great job for what I consider to be a fair price. I highly recommend Demetree."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

You should plant trees at least 15 to 20 feet away from your house, and more if the tree will grow large and spread its limbs. Trees pose several dangers to houses when planted too close. They can litter the roof with leaves and branches, create fire hazards, make a ladder for larger pests, and even damage the foundation as their roots grow.

A tree can grow back from its stump, but full regrowth is unlikely (especially for more stubborn conifer trees). Instead, trees are more likely to send up a number of shoots from the dead stump, which will try to develop into primary stems over time. In other words, it will start to look increasingly bushy. The goal of killing and drying out a tree stump is to prevent that from happening, as well as make the stump easier to completely remove.

Light-bark trees are most notorious for producing lots of sap when wounded. These varieties include maples, birches, poplars, dogwoods, magnolias, and elms, and they will bleed more when the trees are dormant. That’s why it’s a good idea to prune them in the summer months rather than waiting until winter.

Unfortunately, if you cut the top off a palm tree, it will die. Instead of budding or branching out, the top begins to slowly rot. That's why having a professional tree trimming at least twice a year is a good idea. If you don’t have experience with trimming your palm tree, you might accidentally cut the top off, leaving a dead and rotting tree in your wake.

It depends on the problem, the affected part of the tree, the risk of the pathogen spreading, and the overall health of your tree. Many diseases, fungal infections, and insect infestations can be successfully treated, especially if the issue is only in a few branches. However, if a disease is too widespread, too severe, too easily spread, or in the roots, the tree will likely need to be removed.
