Could not have gone better. Problem was diagnosed quickly. Thankfully, was simple fix and the service tech charged about half normal service call.

My retired mother & I had just moved from the West so the weather was very different. My unit needed to be cleaned but not repaired. Our tech the showed both of us HOW to set the temps for upstairs & downstairs. We were just doing it wrong. The young man was kind & respectful.

******..... would not recommend this company to anyone. i paid for 2 services and every time i call and need something they wanna charge me service fees and other fees and put me off for several days. . what was the point of paying for 2 services when you call and need them them they wanna charge you again... so all i got was a complete RIP OFF.. I FEEL LIKE I GOT ROBBED.. i called Allen Heating & Air from Jacksboro Tn phone # is 423 562 0066 and every time i call them, i get a great response.. they always come the day you call.. so Allen Heating & Air will have all my business from here on out.

They were always on time. They gave me the best price for the same unit. They did everything they said they would do. It was an overall great experience.

They come twice a year and I have a contract with them. I’ve had them now for 5 years or whatever. I have them twice a year to turn my heat on and to turn my air on. I just received a letter from them. They do my heat and air. They tear it apart and clean it and then they check to see if anything’s wrong. They’re what they call a comfort specialist. It’s a real cute brochure that they sent me. The reason I really like them is not all companies will use all of their chemicals and all of that to go out back and actually clean, clean, clean the system that’s out behind the condo. That is why I think they’re wonderful, because some companies don’t do that. I have a contract with them for $130 and that’s what they did. I will call them again when I turn on my heat and air and they’ll come again. That money is for one whole year, but 2 times for them to come. The young man’s name is Charlie, he’s the one I always ask for, because I’m a widow and we have to be careful of who we have. We’ve had them so long, it’s nice to see him again. I don’t know him personally, but he’s a nice young man, Charlie. I never talk to any other staff members because I always ask for him. I met him because he was at my son’s company. My son has a company in Oakridge and that’s how I met Charlie. Since I kind of knew him personally, well now personal, but knew that he was so nice that’s why I started calling him back then. For the quality, a couple of years ago he had to put a new part into my heat and air system and within a few hours, he went to get it and came right back. Course, I don’t know where he went, maybe to his office. They don’t make you wait 10 days before they come. When I called to make an appointment, they look on the computer and said, “oh, “my name” that’s you because I’ve dealt with them so long. I don’t know them, I’ve never met them in the office. I’ve been here 11 years and I’ve never had a problem, “oh, you’ve got to come right now!” Because, as soon as I moved here I started having them twice a year. Just like the last time, I made an appointment and they said, “Charlie will be there at 11:00”, he got here at a quarter till 11:00. I said, “Charlie, that’s why I like you, you’re never late!” He’s just so polite and so kind. I’m 82, so it’s wonderful. He has to go out back and it’s a lot of work. He’s probably here for almost an hour because he has to take that all apart out back. Punctuality is just the best. Professionalism – he comes in the house to check my thermostat and 2 years ago I bought a new thermostat. So, I’ll say, “Charlie, would you please come in and check my thermostat?” “Oh, yes “my name”, whatever you need checked, just tell me.” So, see that is wonderful, I don’t have a husband, you know what I mean. He has good manners and I always give him a pepsi. I should tell you, but I always give him a tip because I’m not afraid of him and I know he’s doing a good job. It really is special when a young man comes who is so polite and kind and that kind of thing. I will always use them.

Problem promptly diagnosed and repaired.

Melton scheduled the job quickly and finished the install in a day. The work quality was excellent. I asked them to grade the ground underneath the old unit and to re-configure the gas piping which they did without complaint. Communication was good, the workers were prompt, polite, and skilled. I was satisfied.

Every year we have them come out, once in the summer, once in the winter, to check everything out. They have found some things before that hadn't failed, but they went ahead and replaced them, especially when it was under warranty, because it wasn't quite up to specs. We did thoroughly appreciate that.

We have a maintenance contract with them and pay an annual fee. It's under $100 but I can't remember exactly what it is. $89 maybe. We had them install a heating and air conditioning unit some time ago so we just have them continue to do the maintenance checkups. Early on it was great because anything they found something, they went ahead and took care of it. That was when everything was under warranty. It's been more than 10 years now. On their prices, it's pretty relative and I don't know what anybody else would actually charge, but I figure it's an A or B. We went with them for the original install because they were certainly competitive. I believe their annual checkups are probably reasonable. We had some other property up in northern Kentucky and it was a lot cheaper here, but I don't know if that was a fair comparison.

There was no charge, I think it was covered on the warranty. Melton Heating & Air is prompt to respond when you call and they always send me the experienced technician that can find the problem right away. 

I've been using Melton Heating & Air since 2009. Well, I like the technicians they send me. They always send me someone who has a lot of experience and can quickly find the problem. Well, I think the price is a little high. I got charged for something that I thought would be under warranty but I was wrong. Oh, definitely I would use them again in the future if the need arises.

The work was performed professionally. The installers arrived on time and completed the job as promised. They cleaned up after the installation and explained the operation of the system and hauled off the old equipment.

Melton did an excellent job installing our Trane in 2011. For many years before then and each year since, we have hired them to do the annual maintenance checks on our two heat pump units. Different technicians have been to the house over the years. Each has been very courteous, thorough, competent, punctual and professional in doing the work. We feel fortunate to have had a really good company like Melton to rely on to keep our HVAC systems running smoothly.

I'm still with them because I am happy with what they do. I have contracts with them. They just did what they said. They got me up and running. There were no issues.
