Malone Heat and Air, Inc. has been in business serving Chattanooga and North Georgia since 1980, specializing in residential and commercial HVAC system installation, maintenance and repair. Our highly skilled and qualified technicians and installers are available 24/7 to take care of all your heating and cooling needs. Providing our customers with same day service, guaranteed work and factory trained professionals are just the first few steps to providing you with superior service.

"We used these guys to replace our unit last year. We had a great experience then. We made a service call because our house is running 6 to 8 degrees over what the thermostat is set on. Chad came out and was rude and condescending to myself and my wife. I eventually had to ask him to leave. He didn’t appreciate us asking questions. We just wanted info around if we needed to have the ducts cleaned. He also told us that Malone should have installed a bigger unit. Worst experience considering the amount of money we’ve spent with them and were planning to spend again."

"My chest freezer broke down and I did not want to buy a new one since I could not afford the same size. I reached out to appliance parts pro and they were confident that what I ordered would fix my problem. $200 in parts later and I now have a broken freezer on my porch and am still paying the loan to this terrible company. They just want you to order parts and try them because they know you can't return them. I hate this company with every fiber of my being and will make sure that anyone that has a broken appliance will not use them. To top it off, their site is so screwed up that it give you an error trying to log back in. I ended up having to create THREE different accounts because every time I went to place a new order, it would not let me login and it would not send a password reset email. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF."

"I contacted Dale's and requested a quote for replacement of my home's HVAC unit. Within a few days Chris Coleman came to my house to provide a quote. Chris was very thorough and professional. He asked for specifics about my house then went into the crawl space to check and measure ductwork. He also checked my HVAC filter and return duct. He used a gee-whiz app on his tablet to show me the return air duct was not large enough for my house. Chris quoted a price for replacement of the unit and return duct and asked if I had any other questions. He was not pushy or put out when I said I intended to get a quote from a competitor. Upon contacting a local competitor for a quote the decision to go with Dale's was easy. Chris Coleman's professional demeanor and slightly better price quote was a winning combination. The installation was scheduled later that same week. The installers arrived on time and did a great job removing and hauling away the old unit and installing the new one. The three guys were friendly and courteous and made sure I was satisfied with the installation before they left that day. I am very impressed with Dale's Heating and Air and highly recommend their service to all."

"I was extremely misled by this company who did not provide the service at the cost they communicated. I never received a print copy of the quote, and the quote that was said out loud (and confirmed) was THOUSANDS less than the bill I received. (I even confirmed the number out loud and commented on how low the cost was, and the owner did not correct me to state the number I received on my bill.) Furthermore, had the owner (who gave the quote and then never followed up until he wanted payment -- also leaving me to ask the contract worker what was even going on or whom I paid and when and how in the midst of hazardous and unsafe living conditions due to disease risk -- clarified the price point when I REPEATED THE NUMBER OUT LOUD TO HIM AND COMMENTED THAT IT SEEMED LOW) been direct, honest, and forthright with me, my insurance would have stepped in to cover it. Don't trust them to communicate with you. Get another quote. Do more price shopping since they're willing to admit they messed up but aren't willing to do anything about it. Also, even if you don't think the number will meet your home insurance deductible amount, consult with them anyway. Now I'm retroactively trying to get insurance to help out, and they have many questions about the way the Ductz service was conducted AND concerns about the way it was documented."

Since 1989 we have been providing quality service and installation of heating and air conditioning systems. We feature our own brand of equipment designed especially for your climate along with other well known brands. Financing available.

"Matt was excellent. He came to our house a month ago. We were close to extreme heat. He worked on our system where we didn't need a major renovation or repair of our system. He really cared about my family and our well being. I would definitely recommend Action Air to anyone. Matt was great. He explained what was wrong. Then effectively fixed the problem. Will be calling them again."

2008 years of experience

Appliancezone.com is a leading on-line retailer of appliance parts and accessories for do-it-yourself homeowners. Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

Heating Oil questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on system age, type, labor, and whether part replacements are necessary.

You can expect a geothermal system to last for years. According to the Department of Energy, the underground infrastructure for the heat pumps lasts about 25 to 50 years, which includes the pipes buried in the soil. The actual heat pump itself has a life span of around 25 years.

Your HVAC manufacturer will give you instructions on how often you should service your system. Have your unit professionally serviced at least once a year when in doubt.

Heat pump systems are different because they provide heating and cooling solutions for your home. In this case, you should have it serviced at least twice a year.

There are several common types of HVAC systems that you may have, including split systems, hybrid HVAC, duct-free systems, packaged heating and air, geothermal heating, or even portable units for heating or cooling. If you aren’t sure which type is in your home or are looking to install something different, you should consult an HVAC pro to determine which option is right for your heating and cooling needs.

The most obvious downside is the high upfront cost of buying and installing one of these systems. Additionally, sometimes the system can take a longer time to heat than alternatives like a boiler. Also, if something goes wrong with the geothermal pump, repairs are often significantly more expensive than repairing traditional, above-ground heat pumps.
