"I needed a couple of very large bushes to be cut down, they came on a Friday to look at the job and offered to do the job on Monday for a very reasonable price. They were very quick and efficient and went above and beyond the job. You won't go wrong hiring these guys for any job you might have."

"They don't understand that water flows downhill, they did a horrible job and I am very displeased with what they did. I did called them back and they came once and there are still mudholes in my front yard, the water still does not flow away, i paid their fee in full and they do not stand behind their work"

J & J excavation and demolition is committed to excellence in every aspect of our business. We uphold a standard of integrity bound by fairness, honesty, and personal responsibility. Our distinction is the quality of service we bring to our customers. Accurate knowledge of our trade combined with ability is what makes us true professionals. Above all, we are watchful of our customers' interests, and make their concerns the basis of our business.

"We hired this person to do several jobs around our house including tree removal/debris clean up, roof repair from tree damage, and rebuild a fence from tree damage all after Hurricane Helene destroyed our property. He agreed to all the work and a price. The roof looked horrible. It was wavy, uneven, and just shotty work all around. He took several months to complete it and would often say he was coming on a specific day but never show up. My husband told him multiple times we needed this work done timely. Once he started working on the fence (the last thing to do and after 7 months!!), he failed to show up yet again. Wouldn't answer my husbands calls and texts or even my calls and texts. Disappointed in the lack of communication and intergrity of him. To leave a family hanging in such a difficult time shows the true character of him and his business. For that, I would never recommend him for any job big or small. I wish I didn't even have to leave 1 star. "

Excavating questions, answered by experts

It takes one hour to dig a 10-foot trench by hand. Use a trenching shovel with a sharp tip and a long head. Plan for more time if your soil is heavy or rocky. Consider renting a trencher if you’re digging a long or deep trench or if you have challenging soil or terrain.

Completion time ranges from days to weeks, contingent on project size, environmental conditions, and regulatory approvals.

Underground downspouts refer to the sections of downspout extensions that lead away from your home and gutter system. While they cost more than traditional extensions, they can provide several benefits, such as less frequent damage and no need to move them for lawn care tasks. Whether they're worth it or not depends on your budget at installation time and how much convenience they'll add to your situation.

The answer may vary based on where you live. Residential sewer lines are generally buried 5 feet to 6 feet under the ground. However, it's not uncommon to see pipes buried as deep as 8 feet in colder climates in order to ensure that piping is placed below the freeze line. Digging depth could impact your sewer line replacement cost.

Water lines are buried at various depths, depending on the type of line. For example, most sprinkler lines are buried between four and 12 inches underground. On the other hand, water mains usually sit between one and 3 feet below ground. However, they can go even deeper in cold climates to prevent freezing.
