"Wayne and his crew were amazing! I plan on hiring them again for phase 2 and 3 of our project. They were true professionals/craftsmen, they kept us informed of their progress - we live out of state from our vacation home. We have them total access to our home - keys/security, etc. They kept everything secure. When issues arose Wayne called and we talked through everything to reach an agreement. "CJ was the absolute best!!! I have a small fenced yard that needed attention and outlying unfenced areas. The crew came late in the day (perfect as the grass was wet through most of the day) and got the project completed in less than 40 minutes. CJ was honest and knowledgeable. When I asked about pet friendly insecticide treatment to the property he suggested we wait until the weather warms up for best effect. Definitely would recommend. Be sure to roll up any rugs before they start your project. Remind them to shut the gate, if you have one."

"We are so pleased with the work that was done. We had a failing, ill-constructed concrete retaining wall. They removed it, cleaned up the debris and seeded/covered the area. When we asked to them to create a wooden guard rail, they were very accommodating. We plan on having the help us with future projects."

To get your site ready for excavation, you should move anything in the area that isn’t affixed to the land. You can save money on the excavation by removing hardscaping, including walkways, decks, concrete patios, and paver patios.

Before you carry out any digging, you should call 311 to confirm that there are no utility lines running through your excavation site. Skipping this step could lead to severe injury and property damage if your excavator hits a water, sewage, or gas line.

A walk-behind trencher can cut through roots as long as they’re not too thick, making a project much easier than digging with a shovel and other hand tools. Assess your terrain and the number of trees in the surrounding area to determine if a walk-behind trencher will ease the job. Digging a trench by hand is much more time-consuming and labor-intensive. 

Skunk digging looks like a series of small, cone-shaped holes on a lawn or around the perimeter of a home, porch, deck, or shed. The holes that skunks dig when searching for grubs tend to be no more than four inches in diameter and may be up to four inches deep.

Professional installers often include a deep layer of crushed gravel under permeable pavers to allow more runoff to soak through into the soil below. Many installations will include multiple layers of gravel, with coarser aggregate at the base and finer aggregate that sits on top of that bottom layer. Burying lines too close to the surface can cause issues unless the soil is very compact and stable.
