"Brandon did an amazing job on our backsplash!! We chose glass tiles instead of ceramic which created it's own challenges but Brandon made it look easy. He made suggestions which enhanced what I had envisioned and I'm so glad I listened to him. He went above and beyond what I wanted and made it happen on a tight timeline I had for a graduation party. He will show up, return calls and work long hours if need be and takes PRIDE in his work! Definitely a fresh change from the big companies that are more worried about doing a job quick, and not necessarily right."

Small jobs welcome

"Kevin installed a mailbox post for me. He was very professional, on time, and installed mailbox post within an hour. Had issue with post showing splits. I called and he filled the section of split wood with silicone. I appreciated that he came by, fixed the issue without any extra charge. I'm thankful Kevin's company performed the installation even though the mailbox installation was a much smaller project than he usually performs. Thank you Kevin and company for helping me with my small project!"

"Samuel - the owner and general contractor is a pleasure to work with. In addition to tiling, he had removed my popcorn ceilings, painted, installed new faucets, lights, new fan that required extensive electrical work, extensive plumbing to enable a new washer and dryer hook up and lastly a beautiful sliding door. He came with me and spend over an hour to select the correct faucets, fans and light. He picked up with his truck my new dishwasher made some exchanges for me was in continuous communication with me and foremost understood and accomplished what I wanted in the remodel. My brother then hired him to do remodel for him. I could not recommend a better company and person to do either a small or large project for you."

"American Dream Flooring & Tile assisted me in selecting the flooring for a large area. Their installation was beautifully done. I was very pleased with their installers. The floor has held up extremely well. It still looks brand new even with large dog and his nails. Very happy with this company!"

"My only comment and I did mention it at the completion of the install, was they needed a Shop Vac to thoroughly clean the hallway from carpet pieces and dust from sawing engineered hardwood and sanding of sub-floor. They responded it was not currently working properly as sweeping would. I did have to go behind them and vacuum my hallway and the hallway beneath me on first floor because I got complaints from residents. Have to keep your neighbors happy. You may want to invest in a new Shop Vac. Otherwise, I love my new flooring. It is beautiful!"

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

For your Myrtle Beach home, a seasonal routine is key. In spring, inspect for cracks from winter settling and test drainage before hurricane season. After summer, conduct a fall inspection for any storm-related water infiltration or shifted tiles. Use the winter off-season for deep cleaning and planning major repairs, taking advantage of lower tourist traffic to address any issues you find.

Helpful?

After completing a ceramic tile service project in SC, allow the installation to fully cure, which can take up to 14 days in the humid climate. Applying a grout sealer after about three weeks is crucial for protection against moisture. Schedule a 90-day follow-up inspection with your contractor and plan for annual professional assessments to ensure long-term durability against coastal conditions.

Helpful?

In the short term, ceramic tile service projects in Myrtle Beach can increase rental income by 10-15%. Tile is also resistant to water damage from storms and easy to clean of sand. Long-term benefits include excellent durability against salt air and humidity, making it a highly desirable feature for buyers and renters in this unique coastal market, potentially increasing your home’s resale value.

Helpful?

In Myrtle Beach, check for complications like bouncy floors or uneven subflooring, which often result from homes settling on sandy soil. A history of hurricane damage can also cause shifted joists. The coastal climate's high humidity necessitates a proper moisture barrier to prevent mold and ensure a lasting installation. Older beach cottages may also have non-standard layouts requiring special attention from your installer.

Helpful?

When comparing quotes in Myrtle Beach, watch for unusually low bids, as they may indicate substandard materials not suited for coastal humidity. A professional should offer a detailed contract specifying moisture mitigation plans. Be wary of contractors who lack local references, are unfamiliar with Horry County building codes, or demand large upfront payments instead of tying them to project milestones.
