"WONDERFUL!!!!! I called and left message. Promptly returned my call and set up time for crew to come and check on my well and pump. The well and pump originally served as water for the home and later served as irrigation. There was no water and when there was it was orange. The crew arrived led by Cody. First they found a wiring problem - corrected that so the breaker box wouldn't trip. Then they pulled the pump but not before completely informing me of cost and what they were doing. My pump was broken, over 20 years old, and there were several connections in the piping that were corroded and leaking. All were repaired and a new pump installed with warranty. The crew came clean and left dirty after over three hours of wrangling the 100 ft of piping and pump installation. They were super nice and just great at their work. They seemed to really enjoy what they were doing."

Baking soda can help neutralize a septic smell. If the pH balance inside your tank is off, it can emit a sulfurous odor that resembles rotten eggs. If you want to increase the bacteria in your septic tank, add three rotten tomatoes to your septic tank through your garbage disposal. You can do this once every three months.

Schedule annual inspections, test water pressure, and protect the pump from freezing temperatures.

Adding a thin layer of dirt over a septic drain field is fine, especially if soil erosion has occurred. However, adding too much dirt can compact the soil, reducing the drain field’s ability to absorb and filter wastewater properly. Avoid using heavy clay soil, as it can prevent proper drainage. Instead, use a light layer of topsoil and plant grass to help with soil stability.
