"WONDERFUL!!!!! I called and left message. Promptly returned my call and set up time for crew to come and check on my well and pump. The well and pump originally served as water for the home and later served as irrigation. There was no water and when there was it was orange. The crew arrived led by Cody. First they found a wiring problem - corrected that so the breaker box wouldn't trip. Then they pulled the pump but not before completely informing me of cost and what they were doing. My pump was broken, over 20 years old, and there were several connections in the piping that were corroded and leaking. All were repaired and a new pump installed with warranty. The crew came clean and left dirty after over three hours of wrangling the 100 ft of piping and pump installation. They were super nice and just great at their work. They seemed to really enjoy what they were doing."

How deep your septic system needs to be into the ground depends on several factors. In extremely cold environments, the tank needs to rest below the maximum frost line, which can be up to six or eight feet deep. The standard burying depth for most systems is between a few inches and four feet below ground level. Depth can also depend on the slope of the landscaping and other property variables. 

For the most part, choosing between 30/50 psi and 40/60 psi is based on your water-pressure preference. However, it can also depend a little bit on your house—if you have older plumbing, a lower water pressure can be easier on the pipes (and a bit more gentle on your well pump). 

The lower 30/50 pressure is usually enough for a single-story home, but you may want 40/60 if you have multiple stories, as the extra pressure helps water flow smoothly up to the second floor.

Conventional anaerobic septic systems are the least-expensive type of septic system, costing $3,000 to $8,000 to install. There are a few factors that impact this price, including the size of the tank. For example, a 1,000-gallon septic tank (the minimum size required in many municipalities) costs between $900 and $1,500, while a 1,500-gallon tank costs $1,500 to $2,500.

Neither system is necessarily better or worse than the other, but one of the two might be better for your needs. For example, anaerobic systems are less expensive than aerobic ones and don’t use power to run. On the other hand, aerobic septic systems don’t take up as much space and are typically more efficient than their anaerobic counterparts.

The best way to keep a septic tank clean is to hire a local septic tank cleaner to inspect and pump the septic tank every three to five years. Be sure to only flush human waste and toilet paper down the toilet, and don’t pour grease, oil, fats, coffee grounds, or food scraps into your drains.
