Five Star Plumbing Heating Cooling Electrical & Insulation

The sales person who came to our home was all about making the sale and there was zero follow up or customer service after the sale. The install team seemed to be ok but the sales person sold us the system on July 22, 2025 and said Five Start would file the warranty information and the two rebates that we are eligible for. Five weeks later, neither of those things have been done and I have no warranty registration or rebates. I have called a number of times as well as emailing the sales person. Even before this I had to call numerous times just to get a detailed invoice. I am so disappointed in this company and their customer service and in hindsight had I done some comparison shopping I would have known that we way over paid for the system we got. I would never recommend them or use them again.

5 stars for the tech! But 4 stars for the overall scheduling and time to wait window. The first day someone reached out to me and said they could have someone there between now and 5pm. It was already 4pm. I called the main # to confirm & he said he’s call dispatch. No one showed up. We called the main # again and was told no techs in the area. So they scheduled us a window of time of 11am-2pm for the next day. They said the tech would give you warning when on their way. I got notified at 2:15 that he was on his way. The tech was very nice and knowledgeable. Kind of pricey but I believe it’s about standard cost for the industry.

Two managers in the Greer office lied to me about pricing and service and failed to communicate. I spent days trying to get in touch with them. I also contacted the parent company, Southern Home Services, but had no luck there. My widowed mother had a warranty with the company, but it was not honored. Serious unethical practices! If you could recommend an honest company that holds to honesty and integrity above deceit and price-gouging - please provide their contact information. Currently our AC unit sits in a state of disrepair and we have lost tenants due to the neglect and dishonesty of Five Star Heating in Greer, SC

BEWARE: Two managers from the Greer office lied about the service they were supposed to provide and price-gouged. Extremely unethical practices. I requested an itemized invoice of the service and was flatly refused. We had a warrant for that covered work to be done on our AC unit, but it didn?t cover parts. All that was needed was a ?coil? (which wasn?t listed in the invoice. I looked up the price for coils, with a range between $300 and $600 dollars. Their invoice only showed ?Labor? and was for almost $2300. Additionally, I reached out multiple times for a response and it took days to receive a response. I will provide more specific details of their practices and my concerns for anyone using them. I also plan to post reviews to Yelp, Google and BBB. In the meantime, does anyone know a good company that deals ethically with its customers, has a good reputation and doesn?t take advantage by price-gouging? We just need fair and prompt service. NOT one whose managers lie

Today I experienced the worst encounter with 5 star heating plumbing in air.The technician that came out was incompetent confused he told me thar my control damper motor was bad the other was good and my zone control board was good .... In which to replace a control damper motor is not as much as of a hundred or two hundred dollars then he tells me because they don't carry the honeywell motor that I would have to replace my entire system and it will cost me $4279.....this must be a scam....please beware

Very courteous and polite again. Called ahead saying on his way. Very knowledgeable of our system. Very efficient. Kaleb was very persevering for this job was complicated. Very old house. Thank you for your reliability.

Five Star techs have always been friendly, courteous and respectful when visiting to do my maintenance checks.

Absolutely fantastic work. Lee came out, have a quick estimate that was much less then I was expecting, and did the work in less then an hour. He was also very kind and sweet to my elderly dog for his entire visit who was curious about what he was doing. I highly recommend this service for their work ethic, kindness and efficiency. Lee was absolutely amazing and it was a pleasure to work with him.

Electrical inspection was done and the technician was very good and very helpful
