"Built deck at a very reasonable price. Very good workmanship and done quickly. So pleased with deck project, ask them to give me a quote on a bathroom remodel. They did my bath remodel with the same quality work and again, at a reasonable price. Highly recommend."

"We have been renovating and flipping houses for more than 30 years, and we have never been as impressed with the contracting firm as we are with Villatoro Construction. At the end of our renovation, there wasn't an area of our house that wasn't touched in some way. They were consistently the best. They were able to start work quickly, showed up as promised, and worked full days. They paid so much attention to detail, ensuring that everything was perfect. They were as invested as we were in ensuring that our home looked amazing. We were blown away when we came home one day to see they had pulled out dead bushes and were trimming others.à   We hired Villatoro to remove aluminum siding, add insulation, install hardyboard, pressure washed, all exterior painting and internal painting, and onstalled shutters. They repaired damage to several walls and ceilings, they refinishing our wood floors, they added recessed lights and replaced other recessed lights to more modern profile LEDs. They installed three new doors and three new large custom windows.à   They replaced molding were needed and rebuilt our damaged side porch. Every trade was curious, efficient, and personable. They became family, and we were genuinely sad to see them go at the end of the project. Obviously, we can not recommend them enough. Please free free to call or ride by our home. "We purchased a lake home that was built in the late 80's and was extremely dated. I hired Bradley Construction because of their great customer reviews. They did not disappoint! The reno involved removing vinyl siding and replacing with cement fiber board, painting interior and exterior, adding stacked stone to facade and fireplace, painting kitchen cabinets and installing granite in the kitchen and guest bath. Also removed almost the entire rear wall of the house and re-framed for a 12' slider for maximum lake view and access to a new deck. The old small deck was replaced with a beautiful new deck that spans the entire rear of the house, creating a large and beautiful outdoor space. They also had to remove several areas of concrete walkways and a large concrete parking pad, and pour a new walkway and enlarged parking pad for two vehicles. We had a moderate amount of electrical work done as well... From my very first meeting with Terry, to my daily contact with Stephen and many of their crews, I've been highly impressed by their professionalism and attention to detail. The work is very high quality... They turned a tired old lake shack into a beautiful home... I highly recommend Bradley Construction! By the way, Stephen, my project manager, went way above and beyond on many occasions... He is a rock star..."

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel questions, answered by experts

They recommend sustainable materials and water-saving fixtures, tailoring choices to balance sustainability and style.

Kitchens and bathrooms are typically the most expensive rooms to renovate. The high cost is due to several factors, including expensive appliances like ranges, hoods, and refrigerators, as well as costly fixtures. The 'bones' of the room, such as electrical and plumbing, are also expensive to move or replace. Because of the vast amount of prep work, finishing, and specialized labor involved in a relatively small footprint, these projects can cost double or more than a living space remodel. Even when trying to renovate on a budget, kitchens and bathrooms will likely carry a hefty price tag.

Start by gutting the old fixtures and features that need to be removed, such as the tile, vanity, and flooring. You may benefit by removing the toilet, even if you intend to use the same one. Next, install the new shower or tub, followed by the flooring, and then the drywall, which you should then paint. After that, install your new cabinets, vanity, countertop, sink, and faucet, in that order. Replace your light fixture next. Lastly, reconnect the toilet.

While most modern sinks, toilets, and showers last up to 20 years or more with no issues, experts suggest a bathroom remodel should take place at least once a decade. Otherwise, your bathroom might start to look dated. However, the frequency depends on a few different factors, including the quality of the original materials, how well the space has been maintained, and your personal preferences. Signs it’s time for a refresh include outdated fixtures, worn surfaces, poor functionality, or simply wanting to update the look.

Yes, major renovations such as widening doors or installing lifts typically require permits and inspections.
