"Installer came on time with a professional and courteous attitude. The Installer also came dressed as a professional. Everything that we asked the installer was able to do, Geek Squad told us they could not conduct the install how we wanted the surround system to be installed into the wall and was going to charge extra for what they could do. The Installer from Total Entertainment not only installed our 5.1 surround but Installed a sound bar to our TV in the Living Room and did it all for a lot cheaper than what the Geek Squad would of charged just for the 5.1 Install. I had used the Geek Squad in the past but was looking for someone that could do it at a reasonable cost, well to my surprise Total Entertainment did just that, so we will use them again soon and I Highly recommend anyone else reading this to give the company a try. I usually do not take the time to write reviews but thought this company deserved the review. The bottom line is we saved money and got just what we asked for with a professional service. This company is not out to rob the consumer."

"Install was easy. Up front cost was pretty low with Angie's List coupon. Monthly price is a little high compared to competing companies. Response time with alarms is excellent. I was advised to use glass break alarms within 10 ft of my first floor windows, which we installed correctly. I asked prior to installation if having one in the kitchen would cause false alarms due to dishes clanging, etc. I was told the glass break alarms are configured to a precise frequency that alarms with breaking glass. So, not a "no", but not really an answer. Well, every time we cook dinner, wash dishes or empty the dish washer, the kitchen glass break alarm gives a warning which would sound the alarm if it was set. This has caused us a number of false alarms while we've been away due to shifting bowls or plates in our drying rack. For the first several we've had to pay our police department $120 to check the house, and I was only notified after the first alarm that there was a cheaper option for a security company to drive by to check for a break in."

All went well, up and running in no time at all. It is very user friendly, you don't need a PHD to operate this system and  we feel  secure and safe knowing that we are being protected 24/7.

"They charge you shipping and first month fee, which was $58.00.   I installed the equipment with their expertise on the phone with no problems.   After the system was installed I find I had to purchase an extra siren for my garage because the one for the house is not loud enough to hear in the patio or garage.  They charged me an extra $85.00 for the extra siren which I wasn't happy with the extra cost.  I am very pleased with the system so far except for the extra cost.  I feel I should have gotten the siren free with the original equipment.  I've had the system for approximately a month."

"The work went very well. I believe the job was more difficult than the work described in the estimate. There was no additional charge. Alvin answered every question. He responded to my emails promptly. He even came back to reset the new system after my dog ate one of the remotes. Two months later my 10 year old TV quit. "Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
